Ok who was the pessimist that called Hawk?

Caught the tail end of a conversation between Hawk and a fan last night on his radio show. The fan was asking about the lack of execution from the buffs, and Hawk just drilled this guy ike I have never seen Hawk do before. Hawk asked the guy if he knew our O-line situation, which the guy couldn't answer. Hawk was like, "Do you know who our starting LT is?" And the guy was like No. Then Hawk asked if he knew who our backup LT is, and the guy said no. And Hawk said, "we don't have one". Hawk went on about the youth of this team, how bad the CU situation was when he got here and said that it isn't going to happen over night especially with how young this team is. Hawk then got after the guy for the lack of excecution comment by telling the guy that his players are working their butts off. Hawk didn't sound happy with this fan.

Was this anybody on allbuffs? Syko? Jimmy?
Anyway, whoever it was, it took some balls, so I gotta give you props for that.

Well done Hawk on the rant for the most part.

Btw, I took a look at the Oline stats (what I could make of them) from A&M. The Oline sucked again, although Bahr did tie his game high for pancakes at an awesome FOUR! (that was an average quarter for Miller).

Wish they would release the game by game grades. I should email bohn or whoever our statistics guy is...

In other news, Behren's has a bad back and Head has "shoulder problems"...

and we have ONE health backup to play any of the 4 tackle/guard positions.
****.

Hawk has to be pulling his hair out as the season progresses. I know I would be. Then having to deal with numbskulls that call and don't know jack about the situation that he is dealing with. I think everyone has the right to question the coach but at least have some facts to back up your arguement.

Thats the thing, the guy couldn't answer Hawks questions. He was like, ummmm..... uhhhhh..... no sir.

That was the majority of his answers

You'd have to have some pretty big balls to call Hawk and get into over execution when you don't even know the name of the starting LT. You'd also have to be a mental pygmy...

So, back to the original question. Which one of you guys was it???

Good job by Hawk, but my reaction if I were the caller would be.. "You didn't answer the question coach"

Solder is the starter, adkins is the backup. I would have asked him if he doesn't like playing 2 qb's why keep doing it.

The caller made himself look like an idiot.

Next time I'll call and ask him if it's okay if I hope for a winning season in 2009:smile2:

If it was me I would have stopped Hawk in his tracks with, "It's irrelevant that I know or don't know who's starting at what position but a more relevant question seems to me since we're talking OL is, "who was the Brainiac that thought it was a good idea to move CU's starting OG last year to FB this year? Is it possible we would have had one additional experienced lineman on the line without that boneheaded move?"

I may be a bit negative but ****ing give me a little more credit than that asshat caller.

Execution as in the elimination of starters on the OL, at least that's how I interpreted it.

I don't know, that seems just a bit extreme to me...

I mean, we are already too thin on the OL as it is. That isn't going to help.... :smile2:

Couldnt have been anyone from here...they would have known who the left tackle was.

Left Tackle? When he said LT I thought he meant LaDainian Tomlinson.

No wonder I, no I mean the caller, didn't know who our LT is. I didn't think anyone of our RB's had a toe injury.

In the worst Buff Coach Ever poll, there are 4 Hawkins culprits: Blackshirts, buffs04, Coloradosker, JimmyBuff...none of which have commented on this yet

Start the lynching in 3..2..1.......

I'd have responded, "I'm certain it's not Cobra Kai Maiava, but less certain about Eugene Goree."

10-1 it was buffwings lol

 Nope it wasnt me. I would make sure I had enough ammunition before I started shootng at DH.

2nd, I dont want him gone, but I do think he needs to rethink his assts.

3rd, I dont get the radio show here in Dixieland.

Funny though, and I'll take that bet.

For the 634th time, Maiva was looking to get his arse in some warm weather and he was playing UCLA and USC for some transfer action. Everyone on the team knows that the move to FB was approved by Kai and that he actually was buying in that it was his only ticket to the NFL. He also knew he could slide back to OG if it didn't work out. Kai left for palm trees.

I am surprised Hawk would lose his cool with a fan - not very Zen like - he must be getting frustrated

The fan should have said...'Wow, Danny Boy, you just showed more emotion in this call than you or your team has shown all year!...and you never actually answered my question.'

That's funny, that is not what he said.
