I'm listening to the post-game on 850 KOA for the first time and I can't believe this clown is allowed air time on the Buff station.

Weigh-in on this please.

My opinion is he is WAY too critical and negative given his credentials. He was a juco QB who had a good year in 2001 and did some time in the Arena league. So what? There is 10,000 guys who played football who know as much (or little) as him.

Playing football is not a qualification to be a critic in my opinion. Nor is it a qualification to be a coach. Grab a guy who has coached at the college level for God's sake! Don't grab a guy who played for Shawn Watson at CU and Gary Barnett, and then have him sit around and Monday-Morning the current coaching staff!

That is total BS in my opinion. I'm open to criticism, but for KOA to allow a GB deciple to sit around and snipe this staff in a forum is ridiculous.

I'm boycotting KOA until they fix it. It's counterproductive!

someone needs start raising questions about this staff and the play calling as well as some of the decitions they make.

Look. I'm not against everyone who's against Hawk. I just think some of you guys here go way off the deep end with your comments here.

Careful, dude, you're being reasonable. That is unacceptable for some of our fellow allbuffers!

As for Pesavento, he was a pretty ordinary college qb who is da*n lucky that the o-line blew up just as Craig Ochs got his bell rung, or he wouldn't have a job at all.

I haven't said one word about hawk today, read my threads.

My beef has been with helfrich and riddle but today, the buffs gave everything they had and almost won.

Yeah its not like he didn't make any plays in that Big 12 championship game with his arm.

LOL, so you think Pesavento has some agenda against Hawk because he was a Barnett/Watson guy?

Throwing the ball up for grabs for McCoy to make an acrobatic catch falling backwards? Dude, Pesavento almost got yanked at halftime of that game, and if Chrissy Simms hadn't served up so many turnovers, and Chris Brown hadn't cashed them in, we would have lost that game. You might want to adjust your meds.

Pesavento was almost yanked because of an "injury" not because how he was playing.. Okay, "dude"..

And oh I guess the passes to Graham for the 2nd TD and the third TD against Nebraska had nothing to do with Pesavento either.. :smile2:

That two bit flea circus of a program doesn't have the $$$ to hire someone with coaching experience. Your thinking of TV.

All I know is, I'll be looking forward to spring ball, guys out with grades and injuries coming back and katoa, major, polk and others ....

:yeahthat:

That said, I really hope what Hawk said tonight about loving this staff allowed for some kind of mental reservation excepting Riddle.

The field position our kicking game gave the fuskers today and the field goals we've missed all season are a HUGE reason we aren't sitting here analyzing bowl possibilities tonight...

Yes, a former CU STARTING QUARTERBACK is not allowed to express his opinions regarding the team. No one else in CU-related media has the balls to be even slightly critical of anything regarding this team.

The egos that some of you have are comically out of control. You think that you are more qualified to comment on this team than the quarterback of the last good CU football team. What a damn joke. Get a hold of yourself.

Coming from you... that paragraph is allsome.

rep coming for laying down the law!!!

I can't bring myself to listen to the post game after a loss. So I haven't been listening very much this year. But, I'd suspect, he is like many posters. He is living in the "glory" years and wants to return to that. Sometimes, when you do that, you lose objectivity a bit. Hey, Hawk should be called out, he has been called out, he expects to be called out, and he will deal with it. He will probably be the first one to handle the criticism.

He hasn't dealt with it very well this year, unless you call yelling at people in press conferences and calling his fanbase scum handling criticism, heh.

Pesavento wouldn't know the truth if it hit him in the head. He knows as little about football as my favorite baseball analyst, Tim McCarver. It's hard to believe he actually played the game....

No offense here but the CU Athletic Department should be able to put together a "sports broadcasting network" to represent CU sports! The football guys are not that good if you listen objectively and compare them to other top college networks across the nation.

Before you neg rep me for my comments. I am in ear shot of the KOA radio broadcasts and listen to the guys for Kansas State, Texas, and Oklahoma (as well as Nebraska).

(CU needs to be strong to have a Strong B12 North Division)

You're right. This is all the AD's fault. Where's my pitchfork. :smile2:

Sounds personal to me.

I doubt Pesavento's comments on the offense seen this season are based on anything related to Watson and Barnett. The entire scheme was bad from the first page of the playbook regardless of what happened to the offensive linemen.

It's not unreasonable to expect more from a BCS level offensive coordinator. Perhaps he will learn something from 3 years of mistakes. There's always that chance. I don't believe Dan will make any coaching changes. It's not unreasonable to expect an offense in the Big 12 to run the football with authority and pass all over the field.

I expect an offense that moves the ball, holds onto the ball and scores points next season. Considering the players who should be returning next year I expect 8 wins, minimum, before the bowl game.

I think the quarterback of the last CU team to be relevant on a national stage (excluding off the field scandal) has the right to comment on the current state of the program. Until this team returns to getting national championship mentions in December, criticisms from the people who last got them there are fair game.
