FILL FOLSOM FIELD
As a Buff fan, you know there is nothing more energetic than Folsom Field on a game day in the fall. When the stadium is packed, and Ralphie charges onto the field with Your Team behind her and every fan just like you goes wild.

This spring, be more than a fan, be a super fan. Your commitment is needed to Fill Folsom Field before April 25. For every $10 you donate, 10 "virtual" empty seats in Folsom Field will be filled. We need to "fill" all 53,613 seats. Please show your Buff pride today!

Your philanthropic, tax deductible gift will be directed to the Buff Club in support of athletic scholarships. Private gifts play a role in our efforts to build excellence. Our expectations are high and we have yet to reach our fullest potential. But we can do that with your generosity.

As of Monday, March 9, just 1,030 of our 53,613 seats are filled.

Click here to contribute and be sure to check in here often to watch the virtual bodies appear in Folsom Field. For more information, please contact the Buff Club at 303-492-2200.

I suck at math but that won't raise over half a million, but more around $50,000

He read it the same as I did. $10 * 53,613 or $536,130 but it is $10 for 10 seats or a buck a seat. Total of $53,613

Last time I tried math I failed, badly, but this doesn't seem to add up if $10 = 10 seats.

Seats filled.

That site need a graph or an interactive version of the stadium image above to track progress, probably should have a facebook causes function as well.

What is going on in that one section of seats on the west side in the pic??!

It's the virtual filling of the stadium Slade, as it states in the article

That's it at this time? Last year was really great but I doubt we come close to that number this year.

maybe they can fill the area around folsom with virtual bodies as well. that would be cool. while i cannot sit in a seat for the spring game, i can fill virtual seats.

I donated and I want to see my virtual bodies in those seats, NOW!

seriously, a great idea and a fun one.

Hope the update is easy to see as the donations start coming in.

i got my snail mail receipt too. after a week, i would have hoped that more buff fans could release some pocket change or a small gift.

The organization/publicity on this is terrible, that is what is holding this back. I showed the link to 3 buff fans this weekend, they all get alumni newsletters and they all get regular communication from the school, not one of them had heard about this.

How hard would it be for the AD and the alumni association to get together and communicate this to a few more people? sharing email and contact lists isn't tough, it is about time the school tied a few more of it's entities together and began to act like a business and less like a bunch of confused college kids.

The thing is, I know a couple people who said they coughed up $100 on Friday and the thing didn't move between Friday and today. The graphics artist took a day off, methinks.

Would have been better to have small increments of seat-filling periodically to get folks excited instead of these huge sections every few days.

The other way makes it seem like your $10 bucks count, because you see the small change.

I agree, a total donations # of donations as well as a daily aveage graph would be cool too.

Thought I'd bump this we are up to only 6K in donations, they still dont update it daily either.

It's been about 3 days between updates.

I'm going to shoot a sweet little note to Bohn and tell him, while I like the promotion, folks easily lose interest when they keep checking and, nada, nada, nada happens.
