CU football to face Toledo on ESPN

This must be the first Big 12 team to schedule a game in Spain!

Will ESPN be broadcasting from Toledo's Plaza del Toros?

My name is Diego Montoya. You have killed my father. Prepare to die!

from the article

The contract required Miami to pay CU $750,000 if it canceled the game. But that payment was waived after Toledo stepped in.

they allowed them to waive it wtf take the money and the game

That's massive weaksauce, skiddy.

It was a quixotic attempt at Iberian humor. Always tilling at windmills, I am.

So **** you!

The Ohio versions Miami, Oxford, and Toledo are poor knockoffs of the real thing.

:dito: Indigo is a very old Spanish name.

Anyhoot, it'll be a nice win on Nat'l TV and good PR for the Buffs!!

Speaking of Indigo, I shall crap on this thread some more...

How long 'til my soul gets it right? Can any human being ever reach that kind of light?

Can we please not quote the Indigo Girls? Princess Bride I can deal with, some dude saying "Notting Hill" is a good movie I can deal with, but reciting Indigo Girls lyrics is where I draw the line....:smile2::gun:

 Posting that was it's own punishment. Can't get that carpetmunching anthem out of my head.:sad2:

What's that one song that goes:

"Once, there was this girl who
Wouldn't go and change with the girls in the change room
But when they finally made her
They saw birthmarks all over her body
She couldn't quite explain it
They'd always just been there..."

Haha! Suckers.

I loved that song

:yeahthat:

And it's Indigo Montoya....

I'm surprised that ESPN would pick up this game. CU (hasn't done much for a couple years) and Cupcake. You would think they would have an SEC team, USC, or ND game. I'm glad they did and CU could use to be in the national spotlight. Especially if we have a great year. Watch out future recruiting here we come.

It's not INdigo, it's INIGO with the N like spanish Nino, I just cant add the tilda above the N.

I'm guessing that the revenue that CU will make by having a televised game is more than $750K. If it wasn't televised, CU would have made them pay.

NO. Not Inigo with an nyea (that's what the Spanish n with the tilde is called, in English).

That would be pronounced "in-yee-goh."

It's Inego, pronounced "in-yea-goh."

Trust me.

Okay, Don Rodrigo Diaz de Vivar... I know what an -nyea is, I know how to pronounce it, It's a Basque name. For simplicity sake I was just showing the spelling. Hard to express how to properly pronounce it without sound.
