If you go back to when this happened, this program was flat out devoid of QB's in the system. We relied on a string of JC guys before Klatt, then Klatt who was about 25 at the time, and then we had Hawk's first year disaster at QB.
We need a JC guy and then a couple QB's who were young and could grow into it.
We got Cody the first year, and frankly, he was pretty much ready to play right away. Sort of like a Juco.
We never got the other guy or two. Year two, we got Ballenger, now gone. Year three, we got Hansen... Neither were highly rated.
Reality though, imo, there was a lot wrong on Sunday, but QB was not even close to a big issue. Blocking was the issue.
Man - is Denver Johnson and Kiesau going to get this fixed? That is my question because the QB situation is a long term problem with no quick fixes.
