Toledo/Ohio State game thread

Not a great offering with these early games. I'm watching BC-Clemson but maybe I'll check out Cal-Minnesota to see how good Cal looks.

2nd drive : toledo 3 and out..

Ohio State getting all kinds of pressure on Toledo.. They rushed 3 guys once and almost sacked the QB..

enough of this game.

Speaking to Toledo/Ohio though... is it just me, or is football in non-HD completely unwatchable!

depends on the TV.. It doesn't bother as much as it used too.

Its defintely not the same though..

14-0 Ohio State back to cal minn game.. maybe unc/east carolina

early games always lack much interest. i usually watch the crapo Big XII gane when there is one.

MInny about to go down 3 scores. Best is good. you got a stud back, you get him the pill.

KeJuan Jones rushed for 1000 yards for OU and led them to the BCS title game. 3 games into the next season he was benched for a 5 star guy named Adrian Peterson who had the long ball and got 20+ carries a game.

anyone get this analogy?

I usually think most announcers are douchebags, but the teams for the Big10 Network channels actually do a pretty good job.

Most of the games are bad.. For some reason I'm really down on college football right now.. Has to because we are so damn bad.

Yea I usually have trouble getting very engrossed in an early game, same with the early NFL games on Sundays.

Speaking of early games, Duke is giving Kansas all they can handle on Vs right now. Tied up at 7.

Dammit, I don't get frickin Versus. I'm on DirecTV.

didn't think of it, but I might be out of luck if this dispute doesn't get resolved and VS has a game with the Buffs on.

Man, how bad are we? I know it's ohio state but this makes me wonder what in the hell collins and bandison are doing on defense. Pressure works on the qb, imagine that. Their db's are right on their wr's.

I think we don't have the players up front to do anything..We don't shed blocks well..

The Boise connection on defense has been quite depressing if you ask me.. We took the worse thing they did and brought them over and put it in the Big 12..

Scary part is they did better with Barnett's players in 2006 and 2007..

Far be it from me to complain about the DL ......

It should be 5 DL per recruiting cycle. extra DT's can always be moved to the OL..

Really quite simple philosophy, but it doesn't seem like the past two coaches got it right..

Slick Rick got it although some of his players never qualified up here.

5 seems a little high, but with the lack of DL recruits in years prior, we might not have any choice but to bring in 5 a year.

Hey guys transfer, gets hurt, academic problems, etc. You can never have enough good DL in my mind. Games are won and lost at the line of scrimmage. Until the staff starts understanding that, we'll continue to be go through the motions of trying to be a big time football program..

Preaching to the choir Jimmy.

I think 3-4 is enough in normal circumstances. The OL should always bring in about 4-5. Jmo.

24 - zip

Toledo 84 yards 1st half offense

Just a couple small things need to be tweaked and we could be right up there with the Buckeyes
