Yeah. I'm Mod for FB Recruiting. I'll be eager to see whether retaining Hawkins has a positive or negative effect from here on out. In all seriousness, it could help us as we go against some programs that are going through coaching changes. I have my doubts, though.

But I've also got Basketball/Recruiting and so far that's a feel-good area. I'll be focusing more on that.

To all the sunshine pumpers, if he is retained as it looks like

Don't even try to say well this is our guy for next year so lets get behind him and the team. All I can say before hand is STFU. I will not support this program in any way shape or form until Hawkins is gone now at the least.

Agreed.. Anybody with a brain that supports another year of Talkins just really doesn't understand the game of football..

Let Hawk rise to the top at Davis or Willamette. Tired of his cliches and shtick. Next year is going to be another LOOOOOONNNNNNNNGGGGG ride. Boo.

How does this help anything in the long run? I can understand you taking a break (which we'll get anyway with no bowl game) but why withhold all of your support? Tantrum throwing only makes people look like a dumbass, IMO. Be pissed. Relax this off season. Get over it. Wear black and gold next year. Pretty simple!

I support CU. I support the players that are busting it for the program. So, even though I disagree with the decision, I'll be 100% behind Hawkins going into next year. If others can't do that, fine. That's their call. I'll just look at it as an opportunity to upgrade my season ticket seats because I'm in it for the long haul.

How does it help to continue to let Talkins drive the program in the ground?


The only people that look like dumbasses are Distefano and Talkins.

I'll be 100% behind the program. I am 100% behind the players. But I won't go so far as to say I will be behind Hawkins. If he can turn it around and win at CU, wonderful. That's all I want. I won't root for failure if it means he succeeds. But will his presence make me want to support the program more? No ****ing way.

If I have any pro potential, I get the hell out of Boulder ASAP. Of course, few (if any) of Danny's recruits have pro potential.

no ****ing way i give up my current seats. too much tradition associated with that.

but...the supplementary donations are on hold for now.

Yup...fade to black. The support of the chancellor is key...Distefano doesn't care about striving for the best. Mediocrity is fine based on his comments.

This will be a dark period.

Simple. This university has zero commitment to this football team, athletic department, and to the Alumni. I don't know ONE single person that wants Hawkins retained, besided Duhstefano. So why should I show any commitment in return??? Take a look at next years schedule, it is going to be more of the same. The only good news is the stink will hopefully reach so high that it will take the chancellor with it next year.

You are the type of fan driving the decision to retain Hawkins. DiStefano knows you and others will mindlessly support the program with your $ no matter what they decide. They insultingly think our fan base is full of droolers like you and it appears they're right. The only thing they understand is $ support and the only way to effect change is to pull that plug. So much for the Ivy of the Rockies; our fans are too dumb to force a change.

I'll still support the team, but might consider dropping my donation and drop 2 of my 4 seats. I'll wait until a less emotional time to make that decision though.
