LOL at the Wall of Winners for 2010

If the numbers are right Brown is one strong dude for a DB. Also TEs need some serious work on the weights. Herrod is a strong guy, more than the pure DTs.

If Clemons really runs a 4.27, I can't wait to see the first time he gets the ball. Even if that a a tenth of a second exaggeration I'm psyched to see what he can do.

What's the point of this thread, to laugh at our kids? I'm not a sunshine pumper, but the PLAYERS need our support.

I'd say it's because a lot of those numbers aren't really believable, based on what we've seen the last couple years.

Are they made up? I have no idea, and I'm not going to make any accusations.

I'm just saying that I'm skeptical.

Even if the numbers are probably a little off with the 40 times I bet they still all run under a 4.5 which is good enough. We just need somebody with an arm that can get them the ball before getting sacked. No duck passes from Hawk Jr. A 272 bench is pretty weak for a Div 1 quarterback. I would be embarassed that the Frosh could bench more than me if I was Hansen and Hawk Jr. They need to hit the weight room more instead of spending so much time on facebook or whatever the hell they are doing.

Those 40 times are a bunch of BULL****. And I'm not knocking our kids. That would make speedy one of the fastest person at last years NFL Draft. If not the fastest. What a bunch of bull****. However, good to see us at least doing what every other team in the field does these days.

Let the players feel good and have fun with it, I want to see inflated numbers if we are reporting them, let other teams worry about us.

Mahnke has the best vertical jump on the whole team.....wow.

Is Hirschman really slower than Cody?

Disappointed not to see Polk show up more on the score board under the strength numbers for DBs.

Hirschman is a pocket QB, and Cody is quick straight line, but a 40 isn't all football game speed. Remember last year Cody had a faster 40 than Hansen, Hansen of course is more agile and has more game speed

We are ridiculously fast at WR.

Mahnke running a sub-4.6.

Seven sub-4.4 guys.

Wow ...
I started to give you a negative just for your bad attitude, then decided I just shouldn't care that much. But **** you anyway for being a jerk.

You're serious? These guys work their asses off in the weightroom so you can laugh at them and accuse them of inflated numbers? There is no chance that maybe their work has paid off? That these guys are actually ... well, good? Strong? Fit? Fast? You just jump to the conclusion that they can't possibly be fit because they play for Colorado -- or is there some other logic you used that I missed entirely? Whether the numbers are legit or not, the PLAYERS did not record them or post them, so your laughter is both misplaced and insulting.

This thread would have been a lot more interesting and productive if you'd just started with the fact the Wall of Winners was updated and then let the discussion follow.
But since you felt the "LOL" was appropriate, everything after is negative as well.

I realize a series of losing seasons has you skeptical and depressed, (and gee whiz, I'm sorry this is your outlook) but I don't get why a thread that could have been about the team's progress had to start out with the accusation that OUR GUYS could never be as good as these numbers imply. I had the opposite reaction: I saw the numbers and I got excited. I loved the possibilities it represents.

How about pondering Richter's 505 Bench (125 lbs more than the next guy? That Hansen officially beat Hawkins in the 40 (last year they were tied neck and neck.) That maybe it's too bad Lobato left the team, because he appeared to be pretty athletic and these stats back it up? Who are Romano and Minnett under specialists, anyway? Anyone surprised to see David Bakhiatari's pro agility and 40 time - unexpected but welcome ... what does that say about his future as a player?

There were many possible topics that the latest Wall of Winners could have led to ... Or you could choose to just trash the team for trying at all, for showing up in the weightroom and lifting, for running the 40, for daring to wear the black and gold.

Did you want everyone to just cheer along with you as you take the team down a notch? Sorry, not interested.

Chill the **** out. He's laughing because the 40 times are obviously not legit. Can you deny that? Or do you think this team actually does have similar speed to the 1994 team?

You guys are missing the big picture here. Grossnickle will be unstoppable running the fake kick.

I think this is what Hawk meant when he said we were going to "Cinch it up". He was talking about our 40 times. Good to know he's still working on the little things.

Not following this at all, give the players some credit, maybe they ran 37's instead of 40's - who cares? Let's not be so cynical that we have to laugh at the player's personal accomplishments.

The only thing I noticed is that there are no units listed. You always list units of measure. Come on.

I won't laugh at actual accomplishments. In fact, I'm not *laughing* at the fake ones, either. I'm mostly disgusted that our football program has stooped to hereto unknown depths by releasing obviously bogus numbers in the attempt to bolster their own egos. No, not egos, just ego. One ego. The one at the top. We've all seen these players. We know how fast they are.

Yeah this. No one is laughing or calling out the players, we are laughing at how ridiculous and stupid it is to create numbers so obviously fake... which they are, no doubt about it. That is funny to me, almost like an onion piece. I appreciate and commend all the hard work and dedication the players put in, but if we love fake accomplishments so much well that makes our 2009 big 12 championship all that much more special.

So, what you're saying is, those could actually be kilo's their all lifting? AWESOME!!!

That and that we shouldn't look to the coaches or players for our poor APR score. We should look at the goddamn cubuffs.com employees stupiding up our players!

Numbers look good mostly. Surprised we don't have more OL pushing 400 on the bench, though, to be honest. And yeah, those 40 times are inflated.

wow, you are really that upset about BB making light that the wall of winner numbers isn't legit? Seriously?

Those numbers are bogus, but if some of you think BB is making fun of our players, you need to lighten up.
