The Frosh

BehindEnemyLines

beware the habu
Now that the fall camp is underway, it's time for some AB opinions. So, 2 questions:

-- Which of the incoming freshman do you think will see the field this year?

-- Are there any (frosh) who will make significant contributions on the field this year?

No. I meant Richardson. I'm always mixing them up. I tried to fix it before anyone saw what a dumbass I am.

You are amongst friends. We are already aware of how big of a dumbass that you are...we love you anyway.

did you really just use the word "amongst" whilst giving dbt some sarcastic props about being a dumbass?

:wtf:

Good point...pretty embarrassing. I never went to English class at CU....too busy figuring out why Chuck F. was such a horrible coach.

Edit - amongst is used appropriately in my sentence...so, **** off.

I am assuming that the high lighted ones are all of the RS freshmen and all the rest are true freshmen. Not 100% sure on the walk ons vs scholarship guys.

Clean that **** up.

Several of the redshirt/true freshmen DBs will play a lot. We do not have much of a choice in the regard. Not that I think the talent is lacking there, just always a little leery of freshmen DBs getting thrown into the fire.

I'll let you know after tomorrow's scrimmage. Sounds like a lot of new guys are making a mark. Based on depth, could be Terrel Smith or Cordary Allen, or one of the Jones boys.

I suspect Pat Richardson or Rich Patterson could see the field, even though there's a lot of depth. I keep coming back to WR being the position that will help our O-Line help Denver Johnson which helps our QB help Kiesau from looking retarded again. It all starts with the O-Line, but if they are the D's put 8 in the box and show complete disrespect for our WR's, we will make them pay (I Think).

Cordary Allen, Paul Richardson and Terrel Smith seem pretty likely to play as true freshmen.

Kyle Slavin may play if Clark Evans is ineligible and we need another tight end.

Jered Bell and Chidera Uzo-Diribe are likely to redshirt, but they may be too good not to play.

I also think that Tony Jones could end up seeing time, but I'd rather see him redshirt.

@Boulder77 - Hildreth and Thornton are RS-Freshmen.

Hopefully we can redshirt most of them. Let them get bigger, stronger and get ready for 2011.

I think at least one of the Freshman RB's will see some playing time this fall. It is still too early to tell who is going to step up.

Glad to see someone got my little dig at that old fart DBT.... Patterson, Richardson, Jefferson. Richardson is wearing Jefferson's old number.

DBT - just get ready to yell out "Go dude go - whichever one you are!"

I got it. It just did not warrant a response from me. :sad2:

:wink2:

I've read in a couple places that Chidera Uzo-Diribe is playing so well that they may not be able to keep him off the field. Kool-Aid? I dunno. It does seem that for the first time in years, we actually have some depth and experience along the DL. If we aren't generating a decent pass rush, he might see some PT. Otherwise, it's probably best to redshirt him. It will have more to do with how the current guys are doing than anything else.

Wont name specific guys because Im not there to see how they are progressing. I would think however that we absolutely have to have one or two of the freshman running backs play quite a bit.
