Thoughts? Article says no return game in Boulder.

Sources have told the Camera that CU officials are on the verge of adding Ohio State to the 2011 schedule. If the proposed deal is finalized, the Buckeyes would host the Buffs in Columbus next fall.

CU would receive a payout in the neighborhood if $2 million for traveling to the Horseshoe. Ohio State would not make a return trip to Boulder.

OSU is scared of folsom. and after the beat down CU will give them in the bowl game at the end of this season, i cant blame them. they wanna get whooped in thier own house! fine by me.

can you say take the money and run. Cu cares nothing about its fans. Very sad

I disagree. I can't wait to play ohio stank and it's a great opportunity to watch the buffs in one of the premier venues in college football. Sure, it'd be better to get a home and home, but we have two extra ooc games next season and we aren't in a particularly good spot to negotiate ATM.

I'm a fan that is appreciative of the move to schedule OSU.

Some of you guys will bitch about any/everything.

Any and all comers! Well, OK, goers. What do you call it when you take on someone at their place? You can't say, "We take on all comers" if we have to go to their place, can you?

Anywhere anytime.

i wanna see this porno!

I think we're getting a hoops series out of this, too.

And since we've got a full schedule every year out through 2016, I understand not getting the return trip. Plus, since Hawaii is a roadie next year, this is a 13th game. Extra $2 million, national tv exposure, chance to beat a top ten team, help for recruiting Ohio this year and next, and a game the players circle in the offseason to keep themselves more motivated.

I can't wait for this roadie and am so excited about all the positives for the program. 2011 is looking like it's going to be an incredible year for us fans.

Nice. we owe them for some close calls in the '80s. Here's hoping that Pryor plays out of his mind this season and jumps pro.

I like it. Going to be tough on the team, with roadies at Hawaii and tOSU, but I still think it is a winner. Likely on tv, big $$ payday, and a recruiting boost in oHIo. Also cool for our oHIo players to be able to go back for a game.

Like the expsosure and the payout. I like the fact that our school takes on quality non conf opponents. I love the idea.

One of the big reasons I started watching CU growing up around a bunch of damn Longhorn fans is because they played anybody anywhere. SMU fans too but that was before the hammer dropped. Anyway, I love that we have a tough schedule. Nobody cares about playing KSU's schedule.

I like seeing us play good teams. I'd be pretty disappointed if we started scheduling four garbage OOC games every year. I guess this can be seen as a no win situation given our recent results, but eventually we'll get better and playing the best has to help us get there.

Growing up in ohio, we used to go to the shoe all the time, great atmosphere and rabid fans. Think huskers but more arrogant(if that's possible)

The money will be great but as far as the game, go out there give it all you got, could be an ass whipping or you never know, well we know but let's stay positive

Try this one on for size, Mr Tressel.

Yeah, I hear they're already callin' this the "Hawkins Buyout Bowl."

C'mon, no return? It's not like u guys are Delaware State, or something. WTF?

Whatever, we are still beating the piss out of you in your own stadium as a send off present.

Nice deflection.

Anyway, Why in the HELL is Bohn agreeing to this? I understand it'll be a big cross-divisional game and good exposure for CU, but without the return PLUS the payout to CU, it looks like you're taking on the role of some dinkus FCS school in need of a payout.

You're right, we should stay home a schedule South Dakota State and clap them off the field. We are doing this to fix a one time scheduling issue, where we are scheduled to play Cal, but we are now going to be in conference with them. This is a big time game in a big time staduim that will still earn us more money then scheduling on of the softies that you guys love. One thing I will always like about CU is the "anyone, anytime" scheduling that they do. We may suck right now, but I would rather suck and play OSU then suck and play Western Kentucky.

I honestly doubt that the $2MM we get from taking the road trip is going to provide more than a home game against just about anybody. The $2MM is a nice bonus for having an extra game awarded for going to Hawaii. With Cal being a conference game, we may have another OOC game to fill, too.
