So if they were 3-1, what, they'd be very talented?

I guess there would be no scenario that you see the Buffs winning in then, huh?

I say this is the best case scenario for us. UGA's coaches and players are down and out, and one early blow could end the game and their season. Let's go get 'em.

The thing as a Dawg fan that makes me feel a little better is that we get AJ Green back. But from our 1st 4 games I'm not confident at all. So far, if it can go wrong it has...

Ealy will not start for UGA this week. However, that might be a good thing. Every fumble this season has been out of his hands.

I'm gonna say Dawgs win, but that's what I've been saying all season. For some of you to say UGA will be pissed off and play harder, then how do you explain getting beat by Ark, and then Miss St? At this point, alot of the seniors don't really even have anything to play for. They are either getting ready for the NFL or know they aren't going to the NFL, and have no pride to play for at this point because the season is over for any SEC champ hopes.

For example, if you think AJ is going to lay himself out for pride after NCAA suspension, when he already knows he's going to the NFL after the season, then you are crazy.

If I was Hawkins, if you win the toss don't defer. S. Car., Ark.,& Miss.st. got the opening kickoff & scored. Get the ball first irregardless, we'll defer to the 2nd 1/2.
If you win the toss take the ball, & points guaranteed...

And FWIW... Green missed the final 3 games of the regular season last year due to injury, played against TA&M in the bowl & has missed the 1st. 4 games this year. He might not be much of a factor...

CU has stepped on their dicks so far early in each game. Hell... false start on offense in 2 out of 3 games on first play of their starting drive :bang:

not buying that- talent always shines through.... cream rises to the top

You aren't going to win doing that. But if you keep your penalties to a minimum, and just play sound predictable mediocre football, and let UGA make it's own mistakes, you will probably win.

Ya, they're probably very angry, but 1-3 doesn't lie. They are not that good. Miss state is probably not much better than CU.

I see this being like the 2008 WVU game with the outcome being a coin toss. Low scoring game in the teens or low 20's. Winning team will win off a late FG or TD.

He's dangerous on the fade in the endzone, but in midfield he'll be catching from a freshman who overthrows his downfield receivers and never has more than 3 seconds to throw because the OL sucks. AJ is more dangerous as a decoy than anything, making your paranoid coaches spread your defense out while our mediocre running backs pick up 4 yards after 4 yards.

Remember... our new QB Murray has never thrown a pass to AJ in a game. And Dallasga6 also makes a good point about how long it's been since AJ has even played.

And I'm (fingers crossed) that Toney Clemons' outburst in the lockeroom at halftime of Hawai'i that rallied the team into playing one of the more sound halves of Hawkins career here, traslates into this game and the rest of the season.

It worked for the rest of the 2002 season when Brayton did it, maybe it will here too. (knock on wood)

LOL... We are both so beat down, Damn... Looks like a 3-2 win for one of us. I've never seen 2 fanbases giving the game to the other & having no hope. This is kinda mean, but I remember when my brother who is a Special Ed Teacher told me about someone releasing a box of grasshoppers in his class. Got a feeling that's what this game is going to look like..

no but UCLA always stockpiles a lot of talent and while this pains my ***** to say it....they have a better coach

If you were going to make a list of schools that you could not apply this statement to, how long would that list be?

Do you really think CU was a better football team than Oklahoma in 2007? WVU in 2008?

This Georgia team is no better than those teams and CU might be better or at least equal to the 2008 CU team.

Also, one thing people are leaving out is the home field advantage, night game, roudy, black out, Georgia coming across country, Georgia playign at altitude, and of course the national championship celebration. You know that team is gonna talk to this team. I'm not saying we will win, but to say we don't have a chance is rediculous. There is gonna be a lot of emotion from CU in this one I think.

well....hmmmm.....all indications he might be better than or at least equal to Fairchild and probably better than Kragthorpe. So two so far :)

ok so there is always a chance.....but what you are kind of saying is that beating this Georgia team would still be considered an upset?

UGA has a great kicker. Colorado.... well .... ummm...

It will be considered a minor upset... I said this in a post yesterday & stand by it...

UGA is a below average team this year & y'all have a great chance to beat us in Boulder. Y'all have all the intangibles on your side, a bye week, your 1990 celebration & the hoopla surrounding it, UGA traveling cross country after playing 2 of 3 SEC games on the road, our 3 game losing streak & I really think our players are feeling real sorry for themselves.

Our fanbase is in an uproar, the media is questioning the coaches & players.... It sets up well for a Buff "upset" Saturday...

You're a glutton, you know that? You're like a battered wife that just keeps coming back for more. I would love to see CU win this game, too. I just don't see it happening, though. Every time I get a glimmer of hope, I remember Cal. I remember that Hawk is the head coach. I remember that what he's doing this week - as we speak - is "working on the little things". Which means he's not doing diddly squat to prepare for this weekends game. He's not looking at film to figure out what UGA's tendencies are. He's not doing any self scouting, either. He's got his head so far up his ass that he's looking out his belly button. He's already working on his excuses for the post-game presser.

I really hope that if we do win our students do not storm the field.....just saying.....

Can we win? Sure we can, so I voted yes. But if the question was will we win?, then, well, that's a different story.
