Per Ringo, Jefferson to RB

Hawk putting Plan F into action. How about just playing the RBs we have, redshirts be damned? Let's just get the right guys the experience. No offense to WillJeff, but Pritchard he is not...

Excellent. More playing time for Espy and Cefalo. We needed another light back. Hope this means less shuffling of Prich/Clemons/Travon on the outside, but I have a feeling it means Espy or Cefalo getting more time.

Patterson needs to hold on to the ball if he wants to play more.

Agreed. However, still rather have him on than espy.

I personally would be fine with Clemons, McKnight, and Richardson getting most of the reps.

BTW, Adam is saying Hawkins does not expect Torres to return to the program. Ouch.

Love your lineup. But that totally ruins our awesome packages plan. Ouch ouch OUCH on Torres.

Staff is throwing anything and everything against the wall to see what sticks. But Will Jeff has been an asset to the program rather than a liability since he has been here, and I'm willing to give him a chance to impress.

I am pretty sure that Solder and Miller are next in line for a tailback spot. Cody is going to move over to the DL this week too.

This staff has no ****ing idea what the **** they are ****ing doing. And that is as nice as I can put my feelings into words.

So, we move a wr to rb with 3 days of practice but can't find another rb on the roster to fill in. Hagan, you're doing wonders with the rb position.

We have the dumbest staff in all of college football.

I didn't read the article, but did it happen to say that this was all WillJeff's idea. That he requested the move? If not, I expect that tidbit of info to come from the Dal Ward any minute now.

The first reason Hawkins gives about putting Will Jeff in at RB is "He is so darn explosive." This is what pisses me off. If you want to move a WR to RB, fine. Here are your options:

1. T Clem: Big, fast, good hands. We try to get him the ball a fair amount. Stay at WR
2. Patterson: Explosive, couldn't catch a beach ball. We try to get him the ball a lot, he would get the ball as a RB and not have to worry about trying to catch anything but a swing pass in the flat. This is better than those craptastic bubble screens that get him killed. Move to RB.
3. Will Jeff: Explosive, can catch deep throws. That catch against Georgia was sick. Good route runner. We hardly ever try to get him involved. He could play opposite TClem when Patterson leaves. Keep at WR!
4. McKnight: Possession receiver, great hands, great route running. I guess i'm happy we didn't decide he should be the guy to move.......

Then you get all your "explosive" guys on the field at the same time, putting them in situations where they are least likely to F up. If they don't F up as often, your offense doesn't stall, and maybe we score more points. These guys are killing me.

This move reminds me of the Goree to OG move awhile back. Also, I think this settles it that Hagan is a ****ty ****ing coach. How does he have 3 freshman rbs all practicing for quite awhile now, and a guy can move over from WR and 3 days later be getting carries? Allen and the Jones brothers should be stepping up right now.

Plus he's driven off three RBs with the ability to play at this level in less than a year. Stewart still dances when he should be going forward, too. Hagan is HORRIBLE. I'd put him on par with Riddle.

Geez, I'd hate to disagree with conventional allbuffs wisdom, but frankly I've always thought WJ is built much more like a TB than a WR. He always seemed out of place at WR to me. I guess we'll see, dang it sucks about B-Lock.

We're here to validate a common world view. Heightening the dialogue is not welcome 'round these parts. Get out of here with your misplaced opinions.

The staff is wrong. Got it?

I actually am intrigued by this move as well. Not saying it will turn out great by any stretch, but maybe the staff finds creative ways to get Jefferson the ball.

You too, B.B.?! This thread was all about concensus until NC started his rabble-rousing. Now look at us.

It will be nice to see Will Jeff get some use, I don't have a problem with this move. Hagan, though, is a bad RB coach. Recruiting coordinators dont have to be particularly competent right?

Why the hate for Cefalo, he has played well, he blocks well and gets open and catches the ball.

Cefalo has played well. I don't get the hate. He's not a burner, but neither is Scotty. The guy goes over the middle and isn't afraid. Will be a nice slot guy in the future.
