Nice Job Dan- You Have Pissed Off Your QB

I'm glad Tyler's showing the moxie to speak out. Makes me think he's growing into his role.

I like what I'm hearing. He sounds completely tired of this coaching staff

well, look at it this way... if th pushes a bit and doesn't cross the line to where everyone agrees he is being insubordinate and/or destructive to the team, then it makes it that much harder for captain zen to pull him the next time... because if hawkins acts in a way that appears arbitrary again then he risks being branded as petty and punitive toward his starting qb. and, since i think dan the deluded one believes he will coach in the bigs again after this disaster, he is going to want to protect his image to some extent.

just a wild-theory!

Tyler is careful and smart, but the coaching staff is unpredictable. Remember, if they loves ya, you play no matter what. If they don't love ya, you will be benched.
Only the QB and our tiny band of future NFL greats have the ability to speak out, and Tyler is taking some risks doing so.

Good for him, but I am holding my breath to see what happens this weekend.

Good for him and I didn't take any of his comments to be of the destructive rather than constructive kind. He got benched while playing decently and the coaching staff should know he's not happy about it. At least our coach next year will have a solid senior QB.

Great, he's frustrated. Now try and find a way to get your team in the end zone a few times in 5 tries on the road.

Decent? How many points did he lead cu to in the first 3 quarters? Yes, he was 15-21 for what 20 yds? Playcalling sucked but even though I understand his frustration, he needs to make some plays on the road ,not just at home.

As he said, 3rd and long every posession... what do you want him to do? He led us to the red zone many times, unlike his counterpart.

Our team is a mess. Bohn needs to fire Hawkins tomorrow or things are only going to get worse.

I don't want cody playing at all but "he led us to the red zone", did we score? It doesn't matter, We need a fresh start at CU and until we get coaches who get it and qb's who can sling it, it's the same old, same old.

serious question:
do you think playcalling matters? Can a qb be so amazing that it doesn't matter that the opposing team knows what you are doing every time?

I won't fault him for not being able to kick field goals, you can if you like. He didn't put us in the end zone, but to lay it entirely on his lap is kind of unfair imo. The playcalling was ridiculous, you can tell in the interview he wants to go downfield more, but for whatever reason, the coaches thought hitting Mizzou with the bubble screen 18 times was the key. He does need to play better on the road, I will agree with you on that.

He clearly played a mediocre game. He also clearly didn't deserve to be pulled.

Let's see.... Players quitting, QB ripping the coach and whole aspects of the game.... Sounds like a winning combination to me. The move needs to be made before this whole thing REALLY implodes. J-FLY looks pretty smart right about now.

Way to go Tyler, you are a CU leader...

If only the coaches could lead, CU would be in a better place...
