Furthermore, according to one senator it wouldn't matter much if at all anyway:University leaders and students mostly shrugged off any concerns that the school will be criticized for the $2 million contract buyout amid budget cuts. The money will not come from CU's general fund, but rather revenue generated by the athletic department.
"It's not tuition paying for it, and it's not state funding," said CU President Bruce Benson.
