Based on the highlights, I'm thinking that we're looking at him as a fullback. Tough kid.

More from the Rivals article that also discusses Rashad Hall:

"Jermaine is about 6-foot-2, 205-pounds. He is a very versatile player, very good athlete," [Oak Ridge Military Academy head coach Otis] Yelverton said. "He played running back, receiver, a little linebacker and a little safety for us. He is a good smart player."

Wasn't Urlacher a 2 star recruit at WR or something.

Been plenty of 2 star recruits who have made an impact for their team. I'm thinking some fans feel 3 2 star recruits this weekend wasn't what they were planning on.

I like his size and speed

I think after what Hawk left we should be happy that the people that want to come play have star ratings..

Does it seem like we are going to end up signing more like 20-22 guys rather than 16 or 17? Taking 2 or three RB's doesn't seem like something we'd do this cycle unless we are going to have more scholarships than we thought.

I agree, but Rashad Hall with a 6' frame weighing 205 with 4.4 speed. I'll take two star RBs like that all the time.

I guess parker is a buff but nobody wants to let the secret out? So, that is 13 recruits. 4 more scholi's left, Maybe 2 DL an OL and wr?

My gut feeling tells me that we will have more Scholarships to work with, more than 17 projected due to attrition. New coach, new system, it is normal to see alot of transfers in the begining. Will like to see Lucien, Willingham, Asiata, Parker, Creer commit to CU.

We need embot and another big dl too...

Those 5 recruits would be an incredible showing for this staff. even 3 out of the 5. After a month they are getting this kind of pull with these kids... Picture what happens when they have years of recruiting a prospect. These kids will be dreaming of the flatirons by the time the start their senior seasons....

but we are still going after an awful lot of guys. not that I mind, it just struck me that there might be a reason for us to oversign.

I heard 15-17 is the number they want to get, but they'd take more if they were the right guys as one cannot predict the attrition. Worst case, we could greyshirt a couple. Also, hard to tell if any of these guys are risks to gain admission.

The challenge is restraint here, as I think we all can FEEL that 2012's class will be very good. The transition year classes are always tough. The next year, a good recruiting staff will do better. And MUCH better if they show early results on the field. Next year it seems like we will be at 25 available or so, no matter what. GrayShirts from 2011 will count against that.
