'11 CO OLB Leilon Willingham (Signed to Central Florida)

I was just watching a show on espn about recruiting and how 68% of the recruit's decision is affected by what his dad wants.

Just sayin'

hi, welcome to allbuffs, have you been here before?

RUMORS sound good re OP.

I know, I know. But I have to give it my feeble attempt at law and order.

Some guys just seem to look naturally good in black and gold.

I wouldn't get excited yet. Even if he did silently commit.... we all know how that turns out. That's even if he did commit... the info came from a random

Still maintain Willingham is really torn on where to go. Fairly confident he will sign for CU, but nothing would really surprise me come signing day. He has been rumored to be leaning/silent committing to at least three different schools now.

Leilon,
Enjoy the drama leading up to NSD. Enjoy the attention from national programs, you've earned it on the field. On NSD, join the Buffs, and be the man that Jon Embree was when he was in the same position many years ago. Be a part of the beginning.
BP
ps: I won't forget, one unicorn coming up!

AJ - I want that as a velvet painting for my man cave after he commits. :smile2:

FOOLS! Which other recruits have had unicorn pictures on AllBuffs?! That's right, only Munchie that I can think of. Where did he end up? Not at CU!

Munchie's was a painted zebra with a glued-on horn made from a sno-cone cup. Leilon's is the real thing. FACT.

DS's weighed too much to be pictured on AB. It has since gone on a no-hay diet.

I heard it was just eating donuts.

Buffnik is gonna be so mad at us.

Back on topic:

Leilon, come to Boulder with Brady and own the PAC-12!

Leilon has a lot of things to think about this weekend.

Like how awesome it'll be to be a legend at CU?

I agree with the posters who speculate that he is torn in his decision and that his dad is pushing CU. He may not be completely happy at the time he signs if it turns out to be CU but I think in time he will realize it is the right choice. To start with for kids from the Denver area CU is a perfect location, far enough from home to get away and be your own person but close enough to go home, have dinner with mom and decompress some from college life.

There is also a natural tendancy to have more positive support from fans and the media if you are an in-state kid. Become a star and being from in state leads to some serious opportunities. Think about guys like Chauncey who is a great BB player on his own but that former Denver HS and CU star label gives him a postive bounce even with people who are marginal fans. He is a Colorado guy who has made good and that gets him a more positive response.

I honestly hope that he makes his decision because it's really where he wants to go and not because it's where his dad wants him to be. I know having happy parents is important and should be a factor but at the end of the day, it's going to be Leilon at school and he should be someplace that really gets him fired up. I'm not saying that isn't CU, either.

It's a huge decision. Best of luck to Leilon no matter what he chooses.

Wish the kid the best in his decision. Remember guys, these are 17 and 18 year olds making the biggest decision of their life. In the grand scheme of things, these kids will be fine with 95% of all schools they can go to, especially in a case like Leilon's. Hopefully he chooses the Buffs, but I want him to want to be Buff. GL to the young man. If he doesn't choose us, I'm fine with that, I just hope he doesn't choose UDub or ASU if that's the case. Still wish him well if he goes there though, as well.

Great post NM.

Does Leilon know what the weather is like in Michigan in the Wintertime?
