Pac-12 countdown

JJ wasn't even the best player to wear #2 on his own team. I may never forgive him for fumbling the ball with nobody between him and the end zone in stincoln, 1988. We lost 7-0 because he couldn't hold on to the ball. Nobody hit him or anything. He just dropped it.

The answer is Deon.

can we change the countdown clock on the website for the next 27 hours and change until we move?

Players make mistakes. I will remember him as a great RB.

JJ was good, but not the best to wear #2, he wasn't even the best back on the team. #2 should belong to Deon in a landslide almost as much as #3 belonged to Hagan IMO. Deon was special!

JJ was a fantastic RB. Probably one of my all time favorite Buffs.

JJ was a fantastic RB, but he didn't win a national award and have a decent career in the NFL. Deon was the best to wear #2 at CU. Not taking anything away from JJ though.

We have to go Bieniemy here, right? I remember all of the others as great players, but you know...Bieniemy, man. Bieniemy!

YES!!!!

Man I wish someone would upload the highlights from the 1990 Nebraska game on youtube. What a turnaround, fumbled 5 times and then just exploded for 4 TD's in the 4th.

Also he crossed the goal line in the 90 Orange bowl dammit! Got robbed!

I'm going to give some love to Ben Kelly. He was a fantastic kick returner, and I love to watch the highlights of his 90+ yard fumble return against KU, where he is outrunning some pretty fast guys, who all have an angle on him. But ultimately, I gotta go EB.

Ditch this chicken**** outfit and migrate over to cuatthegame.com

:yeahthat: :wave2::iagree: :welcome:

Contributions to the CU at the Game archives are always welcome. If you have a story to share, there are 30 years worth of archived games from which to choose! :gobuffs:

Good friend of mine played against Kelly when he was at TTech. He knows how fast Ben Kelly was firsthand. He broke a run and had about a 10 yard head start and still got caught, probably in less than 35 or 40 yards have to see it again. I asked him after the game how fast he was, he just shook his head and laughed. Shaud wasn't slow by any means.

Okay. He didn't get a national award.

We're talking about college football here right? Who cares about his NFL career. At least imo.

Look at how loaded we were at RB back then. That's something that impresses me even more. He had to share carries, and still had a huge impact at CU. Imagine his production if he was the main guy. He'd certainly be in the top 5 all time rushers.

J! J! FLANNIGAN!

If the Ute website is correct about the exact time we are in the Pac-12 tomorrow, LESS THAN 24 HOURS TO GO!

Thanks for making this an awesome thread.

The answer, of course, is Jeremy Weisinger. Duh.

Wasn't he rated the top QB in the coutnry coming out of high school? Man he was fast, but just didn't live up to his expectations just like a lot of high profile kids we've gotten over the years haven't. I remember I think it was against A&M when he returned a kickoff and just got clobbered.
