Other games weekend of 9/27-9/29

On two of WSU's td's, the Utah DBs just absolutely **** the bed. A "what was he thinking" angle in the first, followed by his partner getting juked out of his shoes. Wow.

Only got a chance to check in on little bits of games here and there because we were in Charleston this weekend but a few observations:

- How ironic (in a bad way of course) that Lawrence goes down a few days after Bryant announces he's transferring. Syracuse might be for real and if they hold serve on games they should win they could be looking at a 9 or 10-win season. More on Cuse below

- Kentucky, as has been noted they look for real. And they get Georgia in Lexington and both teams could be undefeated if UK wins in Aggieland next week.

- I'm still not convinced ND is that good but the switch to Book has made an undeniable difference in their offense. Next week in Blacksburg will be very tough as that place will be lit on Saturday night. One game to keep an eye on is their game against Syracuse later in the season.

- Yea that Penn State call on 4th down was unbelievable for a 4th and 5, but also it's inexcusable to blow a double-digit lead at home with that environment.

@Duff Man RE: who's the 2nd best team in the ACC, good question. I think the easy answer would be VT if they didn't have that inexplicable loss at ODU but I'd say Miami at this point. They seem like kind of a forgotten team at this point. NC State is still undefeated but haven't really played anybody. That cancelled game against WVU would've been a real good measuring stick for them.
