Official Bowl Games Thread

I wouldn’t say it’s not close. I think Tua has just made two bonehead plays that swung the momentum in Clemson’s favor. I think these two teams match up very well.

Venables is calling a phenomenal game-looks like he's doing similar stuff to what CMT did last month to Tua. Lawrence looks like the far better QB.

So this an issue I have from time to time with college football.

Fowler and Herbstreit have mentioned more than once that Venables is in a "chess match" with Tua.

Now, I know that this is the way college athletics work and you're never going to change it, but this chess match is pitting a 48 year old man who's been coaching for 25 years against a 20 year old who's starting in his 15th college game. Not to mention that coaching is Venables' full-time job, whereas Tua is ostensibly a student who plays football (lol, but he is limited in how much he can give to football vis-a-vis Venables).

Tua is a phenomenal college quarterback, but to put it as a "chess match" or to expect Tua to outsmart Venables is silliness.

What a performance by a true freshman. If Bryant was still the starter this game would go about as well at the playoff game between these two last year.

Also crazy to see how well Clemson’s defensive front is playing against bama without their best player.

we have a long way to go if we want our Buffs in this game. RG sets the bar high-- i like it.

As far as halftime shows go, that one blows.
Yeah that was terrible. It shouldn’t be that hard either. Get people with a good voice who can put on a show like Bruno Mars, Justin Timberlake, etc. Hip hop and whatever you call that **** that imagine dragons just threw out there are just terrible live.

Think about all the bands from the Bay Area they passed over too.

METALLICA!

Christian Wilkins is ridiculously good. Actually makes it fun to key on a DL while watching a game.

They all moved to LA.

Or just treat it like a college football game and leave it to the school bands.
