Has moved around a bit from Las Vegas to Washington and back again to Las Vegas due to some family issues. Bishop Gorman is a powerhouse program in the Las Vegas area. Very good athlete who would instantly upgrade our speed at the safety position.

Awesome. Did not see that article before. Really thought we might have a shot with Ambrose being his lead recruiter.

Not be sound negative here but for at least three straight years we have gotten excited about some kid out of Nevada and looking at the FB roster I see exactly ZERO kids from the state of Nevada and again none on this years list of incoming recruits.

Are we actually recruiting these kids or is this just wishful thinking? Are the Nevada kids just using us to get the attention of the PAC 10 schools that are actually their preferences?

We have no great history of recruiting Nevada and quite frankly until we get a different coaching staff in here that is capable of winning enough games to draw some attention and provoke a desire to play for us.

Liloa Nobriga finished high school in Las Vegas. We also got official visits from Keenan Graham (Las Vegas) and Kyle Van Noy (Reno) during the 2009 recruiting cycle. Considering we only offer 2-3 NV players a year, we are doing just fine.

I'll add that offering the best from Bishop Gorman every year is also a good strategy. It's an important relationship for CU to build. Similar to offering about a half dozen kids from Don Bosco prep over the past 4 or 5 years leading to us landing Tony Jones this year. Bishop Gorman is a very good academic school that puts out the best talent in Nevada. This will eventually pay off.

Yep. It also worth noting that Bishop Gorman players do not just go Pac-10. Ryan Reynold, DeMarco Murray, and Justin Chiasson all ended up at OU.
