Karma to Peyton. I hope he gets to play in the state championship game.
 
According to Southlake's head coach, Peyton will not play in the 5A State Championship game this weekend due to the knee injury from Saturday. No information on the extent of the injury. Really feel bad for him to finally make it to the Championship game and then not be able to play. Next time he puts the pads on it will be for the Buffs!

Good luck against Ft Bend Hightower, and looking forward to seeing him in Buff gear.

Fantastic championship....SL Carroll wins! Tough to see Peyton relegated to the sideline.....but he was in the middle of the action on the sidelines. Appears to be a terrific leader...Pics to follow.

Peyton's dad was talking to this dude the whole game...I am hoping he is a Buff coach?

I still don't understand why we have no idea how bad his knee injury is. Doesn't someone have a way to find out or even a local reporter? I would have thought Adam (Buffscoop) would have at least reported it but not there either. Strange.

Yeah. I expected to know by now, too. Could be something as simple as the family wanting to keep medical issues private, at least until there's a thorough evaluation and an opportunity to formulate a plan of action with the trainers, CU coaches and Peyton's doctor.
 
Awesome game ( Dallas Buff had WAY better seats than i did!!). Hard to see Peyton not playing. FWIW, he was putting weight on the leg and quasi-walking with it. I thought the same thing watching who I assume was Peytons Dad talking with Kennedy all game.

Great to have my neighborhood team win state, and even better to have one of them committed to the Buffs! I've tried all of my connections and it seems very quiet on the extent of his injury...... :huh:
