'14 TX DT Eddy Lopez (Signed to COLORADO)

Good body...needs technique work...good red shirt candidate

Unless you are recruiting 5* or some 4* talent at DT they probably all should RS. If they don't it means you don't have the depth you need to start with.

Very few 19yo kids are physically ready to handle playing against BCS level OLs.

Very true...but we have got to hit on some more of those ready to play now kids if we can't get good JUCO talent in here

He picked up an in-city offer from Utep btw

Little nervous...Texas just had all three of their DT commits decommit. Hopefully Strong can do some work and get a couple of them back without having to look around for other options.

I think Charlie will be trying his best to keep the recruits he has and maybe some he recruited to UL much like Mac did here. I don't think he's going to expand much into trying to clip some guys.

I would expect Charlie Strong to be able to up the recruiting a bit over what the fired staff had going on. Meaning they will pull back some Texas kids from other destinations, and perhaps get some kids from LA, MS, FL, GA etc that are not normally part of UT's footprint.

If they former happens, we could see a trickle down whereby someone like Okla, OSU, Baylor, Texas Tech... lose a commit to UT and then they turn to Lopez.

Lopez is a big, big dude. Much needed DT in this class.

Welcome aboard!
