The opportunity is to go to school for free and play football. Either way it could help feed his family in the end. I know where I come from that's a true blessing.

Odd event. I was talking to a boomer fan and brought up this kid. I asked him what he thought of Barnes choosing utsa instead of them or us, or any other P5 team.

He replied that he had never heard of Barnes. This is coming from a fan that's heavy into Rivals and seems to know some folks in and around the program.
