'18 JC OT Kary Kutsch (Signed to COLORADO)

The 40 time for an OL is the most useless stat in all of football.

I want to punch every draft expert in the mouth who mentions it.

Good depth add tho. Regardless of sprinting ability.
No need to punch me because I’m no draft expert, but I disagree. Forty time is at least some indication of quickness and agility. Yeah, a lineman doesn’t have to be fast, but the really good ones are quick.

Was in Boulder Saturday with the family and saw Montez, MM, Klayton Adams, unnamed recruit #1 and a track and field coach having lunch at The Sink. Thought it was odd that coach Mac and Montez would be having lunch with a track and field coach but I realize that unnamed recruit #1 was Kutsch and makes sense now that we know he wants to do T&F.

Adams, Kutsch and the T&F coach kept walking to campus after lunch but MM and Montez stayed back and talked for a while in the parking lot across The Sink.

Edit: By the way, Kutsch is a big boy...
Not a haiku.

Sounds like he was receiving a lot more attention from some P5 programs than we initially thought (also had an offer in hand from Indiana), and doesn't sound like a Redshirt situation at all. Sounds like he'll be in the mix for a starting position.

It's only a measure of straight line speed.

The 3 cone drill and the 20 yard shuttle are better indicators of quickness and agility.

I get that. But I’d bet guys who have good speed also do well in the agility tests. But, yeah, 40 times for linemen is much less important than for skill position players, for sure. I just don’t want a big lug who is 290 and runs a 5.9.

I’d give this a like, but it’s not in Haiku format.

From the article: I should make this his profile pic to freak out anyone on AB who is late seeing this thread. :D

If anything he’s going to push everyone else, because you know he wants to play.
