Was that picture of Harris and Michalowski an old one then?
I believe it was old. however I found this, but it doesnt say if the coach can go to the athlete.

The only exception to the dead period rule occurs if an athlete has already signed an NLI or a written offer of admission, fully committing them to that school. After an athlete signs acceptance offer or an NLI they are free to go on an unofficial visit to their new school to get better acquainted with the team and facilities.

The following figure shows the current recruiting calendar. It applies to "prospective student athletes," as can be seen in the period definitions on the right. I copied the definition for prospective student athletes below the figure. Note the exception says that after signing the LOI, Bylaw 13.1 no longer applies. I believe all of the restrictive periods are defined in Bylaw 13.1, so they do not apply after signing the LOI.

Definition of "Prospective Student-Athlete"

Definition of "Prospective Student-Athlete" [Bylaw 13.02.12]
https://web1.ncaa.org/LSDBi/exec/by...ted Items&multiple=33506&division=1&adopted=0
A prospective student-athlete is a student who has started classes for the ninth grade. In addition, a student who has not started classes for the ninth grade becomes a prospective student-athlete if the institution provides such an individual (or the individual's relatives or friends) any financial assistance or other benefits that the institution does not provide to prospective students generally. An individual remains a prospective student-athlete until one of the following occurs (whichever is earlier):
  • The individual officially registers and enrolls in a minimum full-time program of studies and attends classes in any term of a four-year collegiate institution's regular academic year (excluding summer);
  • The individual participates in a regular squad practice or competition at a four-year collegiate institution that occurs before the beginning of any term;
  • The individual officially registers, enrolls and attends classes during the certifying institution's summer term prior to his or her initial full-time enrollment at the certifying institution; or
  • The individual reports to an institutional orientation session that is open to all incoming students within 14 calendar days prior to the opening day of classes of a regular academic year term.
Exception -- After Commitment [Bylaw 13.02.12.1]
https://web1.ncaa.org/LSDBi/exec/by...ted Items&multiple=33516&division=1&adopted=0
After an individual has signed a National Letter of Intent or the institution's written offer of admission and/or financial aid or after the institution has received his or her financial deposit in response to its offer of admission, the individual shall no longer be subject to the restrictions of Bylaw 13.1. The individual remains a prospective student-athlete for purposes of applying the remaining provisions of Bylaw 13 and other bylaws.

Thanks for reposting. I had stated this in another thread. After the NLI is signed the student remains classified as a PSA with the exception of 13.1 no longer applying. So unlimited contacts and visits are permitted by the school and coaches of the school that signed the PSA.

Great news, he can be big time at CU with some development. Idk about the cat on Chipwich's profile, though. :D
