Can he play Strong Safety?
He has a 4.6 verified 40 (so just fast enough). On film he seems to read and react really well (good football IQ), so I don't see why not, but I am betting we won't really know until he was here and see how he develops.

But I would assume that's plan B, and they'd prefer a little more speed on the back end.

Looking good here! Free update

Frisco (Texas) Lone Star outside linebacker Toren Pittman heads to Colorado for an official visit this weekend and is not ruling out committing to head coach Mel Tucker and his staff.
"That is a possibility, yes sir," he told 247Sports on Friday morning.

love his comments about the coaches, Tucker is doing what he said and it seems to get kids to want to buy in.

Given his size, was thinking Kam Chancellor comp for Strong Safety, but wasn’t sure if priority would be Star/OLB position.

I could see that, but I don't think you can really project the Kam Chancellor's of the world. Guys that are that big, that can run and play in space like that are such oddities. What I like about what they seem to be doing is recruiting guys with length, that can run. I think we'll see that some will play DB, some will play Star/OLB....depending on how they mature physically and mentally.

A verified 4.63 is very fast for a man of that height. Give him time in the S&C program + speed training and he can be a nice player.

Sam Noyer runs a 4.6  But yes, 100% agree. In his film, he reads and recognizes plays very well/quickly, and then plays downhill in a hurry. He could be a great Star/OLB here....and it looks like he'll hit the **** out of you. My question is, how does he play in space. If he can trail routes, stay in the hip pocket of a receiver as he is changing directions, and get to the boundary in a hurry when he sees the ball being released....then he might be a Kam Chancellor type. It's clear to me that he would do very well as a Safety in run support. He'll be an interesting one to watch how he develops.
