2015 Uniforms

USF got an all new set from Under Armor. Not too bad. The alternate weirdly retro, but the main set is cool.

The best part about theirs is the matte green helmet with the shiny gold emblem and facemask. Wish CU could have a black helmet with the same style.

With Miami going to Adidas does that leave CU as the longest running Nike sponsored school in football at least. I can't recall one longer at this point the only one I can think of that is close would be Oregon perhaps.

Continuously, we're probably up there. Penn State also.

I do like the PT 42 on all of the helmets but otherwise **** ASU ...

I don't know, ASU walks a fine line between honoring a fallen soldier and using Tillman for their own publicity. Didn't that Tillman documentary say he very private about his service, and that the family was hesitant to participate in all these posthumous celebrations?

There are probably plenty of other ASU alums who have served or are currently serving that don't get similar recognition. I'm glad he is honored for what he did, but ASU has a way of making it feel pretty self serving.

I kind of feel the same way. It's become a marketing tool more than a meaningful tribute.

Well except the Tillman family is very involved in most anything ASU does involving his name.

Starting to feel the same way, especially the way they are doing it. How many of those kids with PT-42 on their helmets know anything about Tillman, or care. I'm more for the Tillman Tunnel or a statue or something than having every 18 year old that just wants playing time (PT) and chicks "honoring" Tillman.

Probably because they control the rights to his name and likeness, no? If they are on board, I don't have a big problem with it - we would probably do much of the same. It just seems like ASU football benefits more from thsee tributes at this point than the military or the Tillman family.

Those dumb****s, they just had new unis a year or two ago.

It was prior to the 2011 season when ASU unveiled a major re-branding of their uniforms under their existing contract with Nike. That contract expired on June 30th and ASU chose to go with Adidas as they more than doubled what Nike was paying. Since ASU changed their equipment company a new uni change was, well, unavoidable. But if you notice the new Adidas unis are not that drastically different from what ASU had under Nike, which is a good thing.

Yes, it is my understanding the Tillman family has final say over pretty much anything with their name on it including any way ASU chooses to use it. I know every spring when ASU hosts their very popular 4.2 mile "Pat's Run" the family is always there in attendance. I also know the Tillman family not only approved but was there in person as ASU unveiled their "Tillman Tunnel" that the ASU players use to exit from their locker rooms onto the field before each game.

If we turn it around this year, Nike will put us in the elite category again.

Great find and Thank You - Black is the new (red, yellow, blue, orange, purple, green, burgundy, white) BTW - **** nu

That helmet is badass. I'm sure my child's generation will find it offensive though.

Helmets are good, but too much detail... will look like garbage from distance

I thought the "scarlett N" displayed the appropriate level of shame. So I was gonna post a picture of a "Scarlett A", and then found this picture, so I decided to post it.

The look on her face tells me she's impressed with our new uniforms. Who are those guys in the upper right corner of the picture? Did you pull this from some Afghani porn site?
