2018-2019 Coaching Carousel..

Hindsight being 20/20, would you rather have DH or MT as CU's coach?

DH is a) proven as a HC, b) has ties to our footprint and c) presumably has more pull to assemble a better staff than Tucker has been able to. Flip side is he’s more expensive but that is not my concern and we’ve been scraping the bottom of the (financial) barrel with the assistants anyway.

Nothing against Tucker, but there’re very real concerns with the staff and the footprint that have not been addressed.

I'll be interested in seeing the staff that DH assembles.

At this point I am happy with MT. I think he has a higher chance of being productive long-term. While DH could have put up some points fast, I think it would just be a matter of time before the house of cards tumbled, be it him wanting to move on or his eccentricities rubbing people the wrong way.

I’ll take HCMT all day long. Dana Holgorsen hasn’t really been that impressive at WVU. They are OK year in and year out but that is about it. Rich Rodriguez had them in or near the national championship discussion for what seems like quite a few years. Plus he just looks and feels like a guy that is at the end of his rope.

Let’s be honest Grier kinda fell in his lap and without him they were just OK.

HCMT has brought a whole new level of enthusiasm and energy that will pay dividends. In my humble opinion, we got the best coach in this year’s carousel.

Looking at the list above, does anyone think we didn't get the best guy?

At the least I think we got the best guy for our situation. You never know with first time head coaches but I think we got the guy with the highest ceiling as a coach.

Things are about to get very interesting. With several NFL teams, Miami and WVU now looking for new head coaches, the dominoes will start falling fast.
