2020-2021 Bowl Games Thread

Because I had a different top 4. It related to tOSU. A college football
Analyst made a point I had not heard. It relates to bowl games, the subject of this thread. This is a debatable topic. This is a discussion board. Maybe some want to participate. Maybe some dont.

Those are my reasons.
What makes you think that A$M would beat Indiana at full strength and northwestern. Nothing about their resume says they would do that.

Anyone who thinks Florida or Georgia is one of the top four teams has an SEC agenda.

Also, the whole best 4 argument is pretty dumb. We know Alabama is better than Florida, Georgia and A$M. Nothing on those three teams resumes shows they should be in the playoff.

Ohio state has two wins over top 15 teams and blew out every other team on their schedule. Let’s get real.

Bama is a tough matchup but who do you think has the best chance to beat them out of Ohio state, Florida, Georgia and Texas A&M? I realize Florida played well last weekend but everyone in the country would take Ohio state in that scenario.
There is a reasonable argument for tOSU being in. The first three games they were very, very good. I think Lawrence will be the difference maker against Buckeyes.

That’s exactly what he said, he said if they had Ohio state’s schedule they would be undefeated.
No, you are wrong. He did not address the Top 10. Maybe he addressed it elsewhere than where I heard.

What you posted was that pollack said those 4 sec teams would be undefeated with Ohio states schedule right? Ohio state played two top 15 teams and won. Those top fifteen teams were Indiana and northwestern.

Their DL. Mond protecting ball. Better speed. RB advantage. SOR.

what are your reasons?
Their defense let up more points against bama than Florida’s did. Also whenever you have to use your quarterback protecting the ball as your argument it’s probably not a good one.

I’ll await your reasons why IU and NU would beat aTm.

Sorry I read top ten, not big ten.

but, no, Pollack did not address all big ten. He addressed OSU’s schedule.

Because they aren’t an elite team and they are perfectly capable of dropping a game against one of those two teams.
OK. That’s a good handicap. But that has nothing to do with IU or NU.

Regarding Mond protecting ball, that a key determinant of their GC and a feeder to their D.

I'm shocked that Dana has been this bad at Houston. That job seemed tailor made for him.

I like to see their fans have a decent team. It seems to mean so much to them. But I really hate Graham.
Let the hate flow. Douchebag failed and was punished. His punishment was to get paid great money to live in hawaii. Asshole

It’s Marshall versus Buffalo today. We might be seeing someone who is going to shred that Husker D next season in Lincoln.

Is anyone excited about any of the bowls today?

Liberty vs CCU might be good? Maybe?

Was supposed to be played before Liberty had to back out due to COVID-19 and BYU replaced them and they ended up playing an exciting football game. ESPN GameDay was there and it wasn't because of BYU. Liberty and Coastal Carolina were FCS rivals from their Big South days based on what I have read about this game. Think of this as a church school versus a beach party school. This will be their first match up as FBS schools. Both have good offenses and this could be a fun game to watch. I'll be rooting for CCU in that case because they are just fun to watch.

The other two bowl games...Louisania vs UTSA and WKU versus Georgia State seem like meh to me.

This ServPro bowl on ABC is turning into a very interesting game.

Early on it looked like it was going to be a blowout, now it's tied and going back and forth.

Let's see ... Coastal Carolina versus Jerry Falwell U. Gee ... who to root for?

That was a good hard-fought game. As was the Buffalo-Marshall game yesterday.
