Terrel Owens is another one. Lots of hall of amers or potentional hall of famers that played at FCS level.
Yes, it can and does happen. There are a lot more that played at FBS level
But you do admit this is the exception not the rule, yes?

How many FCS players drafted 2019?
A total of 157 players from 76 different FCS schools are listed on NFL opening week 53-man rosters for 2019, including 11 of the 13 draft picks from this past April. The Baltimore Ravens lead NFL teams with nine former FCS players.

So, if I'm following what passes for logic from bigbang: since a handful of FCS players make it to the NFL (but still a significant minority of 6% of all NFL players) then it's ok to recruit FCS talent even though all evidence shows that FCS talent against FBS opponents means you lose a LOT more than you win. Oh, and teaching is more important than recruiting and we should be Muslims in India. Or something like that.
Nobody is refuting that there are good players in FCS. There are even some good players in D2. There are, however, A LOT more good players in FBS, specifically the P5

This is out of hand. Only staff at an institution that doesn't care about football/sports can survive terrible on the field results, lackluster recruiting AND losing all of our best players to the portal. I'm done
All we can do is laugh at this point.
