No Buff offer showing yet, but with some of his offers already (9, which includes 2 from Pac 12 schools (USC and WSU)), this 6'8" PF may be a student-athlete to keep an eye on re Buff recruiting.

Luv CU's interest in another big point guard w/ complete game and strong passing skills! If don't get Avery Brown?

But Luv Assane Diop to remain top target, after offer to Diop, as he has size of big and passing of point-guard!

If we don't get Avery Brown- Steffe, Normand, & Little are great options as big point guards that can play multiple positions.

Six 2023 BigWings CU seems interested in from Colorado. But CU casting wide net: NV's Osiris Grady; CT's TJ Power, WA's Gavin Mars +super deep Texas pool!

I know many people don't share my passion for CU B-ball recruiting (as my Twitter "Likes" feed attests)! But I train people in my professional life to identify people's creative contributions (by intuitively "reading" creative energies from people's eyes in photos- this is Freaky Boulder!). So my favorite hobby is to see the depth of John Wooden's Pyramid of Success skills that Tad's recruits have, and how brilliantly they may fit together on B-ball team! Current top recruits:

-Point Guards: '22 Avery Brown!!, '23's Drew Steffe!!, Gehrig Normand! (Luv length/leadership), Malik Pressley! (Luv elite versititility) to play point or all 3 perimeter spots in Tad's system. Miro Little great fit too, but Indiana seems way out front with Finnish guard. CU needs at least 1, if not 2 of these guys.

-Point Forwards: Assane Diop! (pronounced Jop), Osiris Grady! (Luv elite D), Kadyn Betts! (Luv over-all wing/combo-forward game), AZ's Kevin Patton, Gavin Marrs. CU building relationship w/ Washington-based Marrs for years; CU offered another WA guy '24 Jacob Coffie (elite post game)- Luv their fit together!

-Toughness: Baye Fall (not convinced CU's in his top tier), Baye Ndongo! (may rise to top-50 national rank/CU in early w/ CO guy), Joshua Jones! (Evan Batty-like post game), Carey Booth (6'9 top CO 3-point shooter may want move home to Minnesota), CA's Andrew Meadow (Kurt Rambis-like energy guy).

-I Luv Rick Ray, Tad & company's chances to land elite, versatile, uptempo Texas BigWings: Cameron Barnes!, Zayden High!, Isaiah Manning! (+D), Jace Posey (+D), Gabe Warren. Texas too deep for state schools to fill; Drew, Gehrig, Malik & Josh Texans too! 2-3 key fits could take CU to Sweet-16 & beyond!

Carey Booth whose Calvin Booth's (Nugget's GM) son is also a '23 who plays for creek he's 6'8 200 and has Minnesota, Georgetown, and Penn State offer. His sister just signed as a volleyball player at Minnesota. Dad went to Penn State. CU has shown interest Don't know if Julian playing for us helps at all here.

Kadyn Betts from Pueblo central is also 6'8 190 is a '23. With offers from CSU, Wyoming, UNC, and Akron with Butler, Iowa State, Minnesota, CU showing interest. Guessing he's related/brothers to Kobi Betts who plays for Mines now and was a onetime air force pledge and a legitimate D1 type player himself.

I can't remember the last time Colorado's top 4 recruits were bigs that all were bigtime talents that will all go D1 to good programs.. Between Fall, Diop, Booth, and Betts. Honestly would be ecstatic if we got 2/4.

Last years that were kind of comparable was 2012 but that was really just Josh and the rest.
Josh Scott- Buffs
Marcus Holt- CSU
Wesley Gordon - Buffs
Kaileb Rodriguez - Cal
Austin Haldorson - WYO

I have no doubt that CU will get 1-2 Elite Big/Wings in 2023- just a question of which 1 or 2? Depending on if CU get 1 or 2 guys to play point guard/wing?

I see CU staying as a top choice for Diop & Betts though Spring, but it doesn't seem like Fall real interested in CU? I saw Booth at CU game, & it seems like he may be seriously considering CU? Still feels like Booth returning to Minnesota is home-court to beat, but maybe Colorado starts feeling more like home to Booth?:

Feels like CU is furthest along w/ Drew Steffe, Gehrig Normand, & Osiris Grady- for next scholarship offers? Though Tad doesn't offer until relationship is very far along (1+ years with Fall & Diop). But Tad & Co. building relationship w/ Colorado Prep's Baye Ndango fast? (He may be a Top-50 National recruit soon?):

CU's top Big/Wing Targets? Isaiah Manning's elite 2-way game may be little stronger need than Cameron Barnes & Zayden High's elite offensive games?:

But CU's '23 Texas interest is deep -including Jace Posey & Gabe Warren both versatile enough to play multiple spots:

Washington's '23 Point Forward Gavin Marrs & '24 Elite Post Jacob Coffie my West Coast favs! But TX & West Coast remain fertile grounds for CU recruits:

I'm sure CU gets at least 1 Point Guard! '22 Brown, & '23 Diop, Steffe & Normand seem too perfect of fits! So no need to get too far w/ other point guards?:

Tad often waits until end of year to assess his teams needs, but it feels like priorities may stay:
1) Play-making from point-guard and/or point-wing (Diop and Normand could play both/either roles), as-well as maybe leadership?
2) 3/4 Combo-Forward, especially if Walker tests NBA early? I like Betts w/ maybe the most complete, over-all game -even if Grady & Manning are further along w/ D, and Barnes & High may have higher potential for elite O? Fall, Barnes & Marrs may be more true 4s -which may just give da Silva more minutes at 3?
3) Rbding & D from big guards may be strong enough to continue to go w/ 3 & 4 guard line-ups, especially when Allen & Ruffin return (those 2 may be 2 of best shooters on the team, is one reason I'm not too concerned with shooting. +Hurlburt may immediately be top shooter). But if Tad prioritizes another versatile wing- that can play multiple perimeter spots (even small ball 4 like Luke & Allen may continue with?)- then Tad may be doubling-down on 3 & 4 guard line-ups?
4) Toughness seems unexpectedly strong for young team, probably more-so w/ Hurlburt, RJ Smith, & if sign Avery Brown? If CU adds Ndango, Meadow, or strong TX post Josh Jones- toughness may be strongest Tad has had? +Cofie in '24, & I don't see Tad worrying too much about toughness yet (or much more size)?

Still LUV 2022 @_averybrown3 for Colorado Buffs in next couple months! I think 14+ average turnovers shows we may still need a true point guard.

'22 Swede Bobi @Klintman14 de-commitment from Maryland puts CU back in small company of longest relationship with my favorite European player this side of Finn '23 @MiroLittle23. Seems unlikely Bill Greet needs to invest too hard in these 2 guys w/ great Texas & West Coast '23 BigWing & '24 guard depth.

@BayeAbdouNdong1 joins @assanediop22 & @TheBayeFall21 with CU Buffs offers & TOP 2023 Targets? Don't be afraid to show these guys some Colorado TWITTER LOVE. The number of social-media followers they have really does affect their ability to take advantage of NIL- Name Image and Likeness.https://twitter.com/cofie_jacob

Hard to know who's far enough along in relationship to get next offer, but these are my favorites to join Diop & Ndong as CU's "Top-10 '23s Most Likely To Sign:"

Point Forward @GehrigNormand20
Jabari-like shooter & toughness @CareyBooth0
Elite, do-everything, 2-way wing @BettsKadyn
Zayden High w/ leadership/D/Offensive-potential @Zayy34den
Cameron Barnes' Offensive-potential is NBA Face-Up @CamEBarnes
Elite position-less TX wing for 1-4 spots: Gabe Warren @gdw_hardwork
Way-above-rim Arizona baller, to get late national recruitment: @KeyonKensieJr
Near Avery Brown in Maine, 6'7, 220 pound playmaker/shooter with bully D at 1-5 is made for Tad Ball: @LoborWilliam

Also from Avery Brown's Mass., lack of CU baseball may take the 6'9 Pitcher/PointBig out, before he's in: @TJPower14

Based on Twitter, CU still stays on other ’23s like: Osiris Grady, Isaiah Manning, Gavin Marrs, Jace Posey, Joshua Jones, Kevin Patten, Andrew Meadow too?

Per article below, CU assistant traveled to see Switzerland to Kansas transplant '22 Bobi Klintman-as I suspected they would. CU has been in on him since before his move to US. After his de-commit from Maryland (may still re-commit there, if Manning gets permanent job) & w/ his difficulty adjusting to US game; he could be great fit to develop (even red-shirt?) this coming year & be ready to take Jabari's place- if/when Jabari goes pro after next year (may not be draft-able this year?). Bobi has a 2-guard's game (similar to Tristan- w/ maybe better handles & passing) to become 6'9 Point/Power Forward? He may need to get stronger for college game?
.
But Avery Brown's got to stay top target for only current '22 scholarship- think he said he's deciding in next month or 2. Still feels like CU & Nebraska top choices?

After Faulkner de-commit, Tad re-iterated preference to take High School guys who are good development-culture fits (ie: want to bleed gold & black!) over transfers-so doubt they chase transfers hard. If they don't use it on Brown or Klintman, too many great '23 prospects- including in Colorado- to not just hold onto it until '23?

Though transfer that visited last month, Jaylon Tyson, would have been great culture-fit: elite hard-worker, position-less versatility, & defensive beast! So I'm sure Tad. & Co will have to keep his eyes on transfer market for guys like him, but guys that epitomize Tad-Ball are still hard to come by. Even with huge transfer numbers.

Really hoping we can land Diop. If we do our 2023-2024 class is looking legit.

PG - Barthelemy SR / Hammond JR
SG - Simpson JR / Smith SO
SF - Clifford SR / Allen SO / O'Brien SR
PF - Da Silva SR / Hurlburt SO
C - Lovering JR / Diop FR

Plus we have 1 more scholarship. Of course I understand things can change, but that is a solid group to look forward to. Also, Fall mentioned he almost commited with Diop to FSU, so let's just imagine we snag him too...

Don't forget Javon Ruffin!

Only shows a Wyoming offer so far per verbalcommits, but a potential student-athlete to keep an eye on. (He is a brother of Buff Julian.)

Kayden Betts & Zayden High can probably be added to list of '23 CU recruits? They both list Colorado 2nd when discussing interested schools.

I think the ordering is just an alphabetical list, though, and not necessarily quotes from the prospects. EDIT: scratch that - I see what you mean now!

Tad has expressly said numerous times that if a CO recruit is good enough he will emphasize recruiting him.

Like CU’s chances with top-75 ‘23 2-guard Mack more than Vegas’ ‘23 F Osiris Gradey or ‘24 2-guard & elite shooter Taj Dagorville.

Feels like we have big 2-guards that can play some on-ball with Nique, Javon & even Q. But guess you’re always recruiting now-days!

Regardless of other peoples inability to see what Tad’s trying to do with CU’s elite development program, I luv that Quincy, Luke & Bobbi Klintman can all play 2-guard spot. Even if they’re all more natural 3s. Tad used to recruit Javon & Mack-types to start at 2 and play at 3-in small-ball line-ups. Now he’s actually getting the type of 2-guard/shooters who can defend and Rbd 3-spot more effectively than is probably fair to ask of Javon-types. But Tad will keep giving big guards chance to show they can defend 3s.
