Alabama is not as financially set as Indiana. Plus, Cignetti is no spring chicken. IU will likely be his last ride.
Also, why would Cignetti leave a better program to try to build up Alabama to what he has already? He's not a Deep South guy, Bama doesn't pay more, and his success isn't built on having some generational QB he's riding the program peak with (made playoffs with a different QB last year). I can't think of a single reason Cignetti would go anywhere.

With what he has already won there he has legend for life status at Indiana. Win the NC and multiply that by whatever exponent you want.

Even if he were to win a NC at Bama they would still be comparing him to Sabin and nothing he could do would put him on a level with the Bear.
