The men's team is in Oregon the next few days to play in the Bandon Dunes Championship. I believe the Bandon area is famous for some great courses, but assume there could be some challenging weather in the coastal Oregon area this time of year. From the below, looks like there are LOTS of teams competing, including 3 in the Top 12 and 5 (including the Buffs) in the top 25.

Just past the turn, Buffs are in first place at -8.

Go Buffs!

Buffs in a tie for 2nd at -5 after the 1st day. Oregon scorched it on the back 9 to lead at -13.

Looks like the Buffs slipped a little and are now in a tie for 4th (at -1). The Ducks (-16) have a pretty big lead, but the Buffs are only 5 in back of 2nd place Texas Tech (-6), so hopefully they'll have a good final round and move up the leader board in tomorrow's final round.

Individually, Jeremy Paul is in the medalist hunt, tied for 4th and only 3 strokes behind the leader.

BANDON, Ore. — The University of Colorado men's golf team had some struggles here Monday but in the end hung in there, slipping two notches into a tie for fourth through two rounds of the 8th Annual Bandon Dunes Championship.

No. 8 Oregon maintained its lead in owning a 16-under par score of 560 through 36 holes; the Ducks and rival Oregon State scored the best rounds Monday with 3-under 285. No. 9 Texas Tech is in second, 10 strokes out at 6-under 570 after playing to a 1-under par 287 in the second round. The Beavers, ranked 87th, are third with a 571 score, with No. 21 Colorado and No. 12 Texas A&M tied for fifth at 575.

Senior Jeremy Paul turned in a fantastic round in tough conditions, fashioning a 4-under 68 that has him tied for fourth 5-under for the tournament on the 6,893-yard, par-72 Old MacDonald Course layout. He started out on fire with four birdies in his first six holes before playing even the rest of the way; he had six birdies, third-most in the field for the round, with 10 pars and just two bogeys. He added to his school record with his 65th subpar round of his career.

The third and final round is set for Tuesday with a shotgun start at 9:30 a.m. MST; the Buffaloes will be paired with No. 71 Georgia State, Denver and No. 23 Auburn and will tee off on holes 5 through 8.

Congrats to the team for another good finish!

Paul Twins Post Top 15 Finishes

BANDON, Ore. — The University of Colorado men's golf team rebounded with the third-best score in the final round but it wasn't enough to make a move as the Buffaloes finished fourth here Tuesday in the 8th Annual Bandon Dunes Championship.

No. 8 Oregon started and finished with double-digit rounds under par in running away with the tournament, as the Ducks finished 28-under par with a team score of 836. No. 9 Texas Tech held off No. 87 Oregon State and the Buffaloes to finish second with a 7-under 857 score; the Beavers moved up by shooting the second-best score in the final round (a 4-under 284); and were one back of the Red Raiders and were two ahead of CU.

Colorado, ranked 21st, wrapped things up with 3-under 285 score for an 860 overall score (4-under) in finishing fourth. It was the ninth time in as many tournaments that the Buffaloes posted a top five finish, a school record besting eight top five finishes in 1992-93 and 2013-14. No. 12 Texas A&M rounded out the top five with an 869 score, and CU also earned another Top 25 win with No. 23 Auburn finishing in ninth.

The Buffaloes will return to action later this month, competing in Stanford's "The Goodwin" in Palo Alto from March 30 through April 1. It's the next-to-last tournament ahead of Colorado hosting the Pac-12 Championships at Boulder Country Club April 28-30.
