No.Are we still in play for Perry at PG? We were a finalist for him and he would solve a lot of backcourt concerns.
You forgot the italic (sarcastic) font. Or did you?I don't think we go with a true PG. 5 out will have a lot of ball handlers and length, so I think a press can be destroyed pretty easily with ball movement.
I would press the whole game vs CU next season. You forgot the italic (sarcastic) font. Or did you?
Why do all these posts reference countering the press as seemingly the primary reason a team needs a point guard. How many times do teams press in a season?
Do people even understand what a PG does for a team? Educate yourself people and go back and watch film on KJ, Kin, The Mayor, Ski and tell me what a PG brings to Tad Ball.
Ya'll have lost the plot.
but Jokic is the PG.You forgot the italic (sarcastic) font. Or did you?

If only Lampkin had returned, he could have been this team's Jokic.but Jokic is the PG.
I'm not sure there's enough booze to help me get through that experience. If only Lampkin had returned, he could have been this team's Jokic.
Could have been 6 APG with a 0.75 A/TOI'm not sure there's enough booze to help me get through that experience.
Yeah but imagine him with a full head of steam going full court. Might turn enough opponents into bowling pins that we'd win by default.Could have been 6 APG with a 0.75 A/TO
Carrington for PG!!!!!We’re going to need a walk-on pg. any Offerdahl-Tomlinsons out there? Or can we throw 300k at Perry?
I did not forget the sarcastic font as I was not suggesting this was my choice, or even Tad's choice. You forgot the italic (sarcastic) font. Or did you?

That is a really bad article.Found a Too Early Big 12 preview (from a BYU insider) that has CU #7 from a few weeks ago. After Pope left BYU, I think the same insider might rank CU ahead of BYU at #6.
That is a really bad article.
My prediction for us next season...Yahoo Sports Way Too Early for the Big 12...Buffs #11 in this one.

The big man is here. Trust in Tad.

1) Not sure where Goose got idea CU not still in w/ Trent Perry!? X-Twitter-Verse seems to indicate CU still in Top-3 w/ UCLA & Virginia? Full-stop on CU’s last portal commit-until he indicates Buffs are off his board? 2nd Visit?Guys I think we could get and in the order I'd go for them:
1) Elijah Hawkins
2) Savion Lewis
3) Zhuric Phelps
4) Javon Small
5) Deivon Smith
I think that's a little premature. We don't know how many conference games there will be and who we will be playing round robin. Speaking of the latter, since Oklahoma State is likely our travel partner, that should be two wins for us.
We don't have to worry about playing Oklahoma & Texas this time around...those schools had the money, resources, and players. If we are to play our mountain rivals round robin as well, we should be able to manage. That might be offset with playing both Kansas schools round robin but I don't think we'd play Houston, Baylor, or Iowa State round robin in that case. Ditto for the other Texas schools, WVU, and UCF.
And I don't think the Pac-12 thought we'd win the conference tourney in year one. Don't think that will happen but finishing in the top half appears doable.
2nd Link on Jason Nelson:1) Not sure where Goose got idea CU not still in w/ Trent Perry!? X-Twitter-Verse seems to indicate CU still in Top-3 w/ UCLA & Virginia? Full-stop on CU’s last portal commit-until he indicates Buffs are off his board? 2nd Visit?
I like Da Lama’s portal PtG picks above-but I think they’re all too rich for CU (mostly 4-Star guys, that yes-sadly-CU does not seem to be chasing). My Portal Pt G pics & reasons:
2) Jason Nelson (see below): best fit, including may not need starter minutes-as at 5’10 knows his role may be as third guard. A-10 Frosh (redshirt frosh) of year at Richmond, averaged 8 & 2A. 19 minutes as Sophmore at VCU, averaged only 5Pts, 1.7A & 1.5R w/ .33 3Pt & .79 FT. Capable of big increases in right situation-including he would be around 1 year after Julian. He’s great on D to defend smaller/quicker guards in Big12-that we may not have anyone on the roster who can defend otherwise? He’s a true PtG & great playmaker, who gets easy paint touches, finishes great at the rim, good mid-range game, & 3Pt probably keeps improving.
2.5) PS: Fact that Tad picked 3 transfers that have character/IQ & toughness-makes me think he’s prioritizing those program-characteristics in any upper-class men he brings in. PSS: LOVE Elijah Malone FIT @5!
3) Over 80 PtG’s in portal (so a lot could change through May), but these 3 have pre-existing relationships w/ Tad’s staff & were deep in recruitment by Tad. Also have the character/IQ/adequate toughness- w/ little less play-making & maybe more shooting? I call these 3 guys more “3rd options” -if Buffs can’t get a high-quality, more athletic-type PtG like Trent Perry or Jason Nelson?
-Isael Silva, Standford
-Angelo Brizzi, Davidson
-Carter Whitt, Furman - Zach Ruebesam’s NC Guy, maybe more Redshirt Possibly?
Biggest reason I’m optimistic-bordering on confident- of CU’s chance to finish 2nd Tier of Big-12 (5-8) & make tourney 1st year is that there was/is major roster turn-over in league & a lot of newer coaches-still trying to create program identities.
You do know who's in the conference, right? Round robin or not, who do think has the better bottom feeders - Stanford or Texas Tech? Cal or Okie State? UCF or Oregon State? Even with a western skewed slate of games, we're not beating BYU or UofA. We'll likely split with ASU, UU and OSU. Any road game in conference against a team not named ASU or OSU is most likely a sizeable loss for this roster.
Listen, we all knew this would likely be a bumpy road. Tad has done well with bolstering our frontcourt, unfortunately I think he's waaaaay overvaluing what we have in the backcourt.
