I have seen this trending. He would be a huge pickup, we need one more stud receiver and I think that he plays outside. I think he is bigger than 6' 197, and/or he plays much bigger.

For OT, I saw us trending a few days ago for Leon Bell (Cal) but that was before we landed Hughley. He may be in the mix, or maybe they spend on an IOL or two. There look to be good guys available at both positions.

Let's plow forward...

I feel like this argument can’t be used when we’ve brought in 20 offensive and defensive lineman (including edge) thus far and I’m sure they are targeting a few more…
I hear you, I'm just not very impressed with the majority of those players.

So you are not impressed by P2 leftovers, and great g5/fcs production.

I'm curious what do you actually want when it comes to portal?
What I want depends on who we want to be be. Are we still going to attempt to make that jump to playoff contention level ("Louis level") or has Sanders changed his vision and we're now just trying to get to 6-8 wins and a bowl game regularly. Are we Minnesota or are we Indiana?

Unfortunately, we don’t have a Mark Cuban, who can just give 20-30 million every single year not only to bring in players but retain the guys already on the roster

Colorado's goal next year will be 6-7 wins. Anything beyond that is just wishful thinking.

We should stop using Indiana as a reference. They are unicorn. 135 out of 136 FBS teams envy what Indiana has achieved. That's not a norm. That's a miracle.

We don’t, but that’s not the reason they’re good. Yet. He didn’t start injecting money into their athletic department until last offseason. And even then, word is it paled in comparison to what programs like Georgia, Texas, Texas Tech were getting (are still getting).

Indiana got good because they struck gold with Curt Cignetti. That’s the only reason.

I have preached for years that it needs to be both.

Fundamental investment in having a first class infrastructure where any good coach in any sport should always have a winning season with an occasional breakout year at CU. And a great coach in any sport would be able to go on a national prominence run.

My feeling about CU for all the time I've been a fan is that it's lacked the will or commitment to be that but has still had that expectation for success. That we blame the coach and think we can do things the same way, only needing some messiah, miracle worker of a coach to solve everything.

If CU sets the baseline, the donor base and great coaches follow.

They have a $30 million roster this year, but a large portion of that was to retain players.

This year, they’re getting higher rated guys in the portal because they have more money to spend on acquisitions

And they're winning. And their players are getting good coaching.
