Only a thought.... not my choice...

In case CU fire's Dan Hawkins in the near future and has to pay a buyout, I would think that there is some financial limitation RIGHT NOW as to what CU would be willing to spend for the next head coach.

Maybe the least expensive option is to go with Cabral for a short period and see how successful he is. If he wants the head spot, this is his shot to make this program respectable and then get a longer term deal if there is success on the field...

just my 2 cents....
 
Along those lines I think for Cabral to even stay with the Buffs beyond this year he has to be promoted to DC. He wants more in his coaching life and they years are ticking away. So if he isn't at least given a fair shot at DC I see Cabral leaving for a promotion and I can't say that I would blame him.
