With Tucker busy recruiting I thought I would figure out his last 4 coaches
DL

OLB/DE
https://virginiasports.com/coaches.aspx?rc=140&path=football
CB
https://cmuchippewas.com/coaches.aspx?rc=329&path=football
Move Hagan to TE and hire a Chris Brasfield as RB coach
https://smumustangs.com/coaches.aspx?rc=4131&path=football

Most the names have already been mentioned. Hopefully they are on HCMT radar.
None of these guys would break the bank. And they would really help recruiting in so cal and Texas.

Wow would that be amazing

The coaching staff and recruiting is moving in a direction I am very happy about.

With a big OL, we will dominate the Pac12 small defenses with our running game.

or, at least get our ol in line with what is necessary in any p5 conference, including the p12.

Think the DL coach could be Jimmy Brumbaugh. His recent follows are Dylan Hall (who we just offered and Hall followed) and Paul Matavao-Poialii, and he followed Hall at the exact same time as Dalmin C Gibson. Plus, if Matavao-Poialii is seen as a DL by us, it makes even more sense, not sure why else he would follow an OL from California.

The resume is solid, but another guy without many obvious Western US ties.

The slowness in reporting our hires is the Tumpkin effect, and the AD won't announce anyone until they've undergone the requisite screening and background checks.

I guess he'd have connects in Louisiana. Also, he was a Co-DC the past 2 years at Maryland so this would be getting someone who has had a bigger job at a P5 school than he'd be taking at CU. Would be hard to complain. I think I got my heart a little too set on So'oto.

CU would still have an OLB opening for So'oto. There's still hope.

That would be funny, because I believe the only reason Kansas offered Kwahn Drake is because Brumbaugh said no

Probably should not have unannounced hires meeting recruits in that case.
Precisely why I brought up. Clearly not the idea of MT to hold it back, and probably not RG either. Probably now a policy for all hires they must follow.

I'm glad they are side stepping it by having the OL guy meet recruits .Just simply tell them its not official pending blah blah blah.

Definitely a upgrade. And I think he is probably a better coach than So’oto. Not sure what kind of recruiter he is, seems like at least not bad based on his track record in Kentucky. But no west tie concerns me.

That requires a lot of money.
I hope your wrong. I really would like to see him join our staff. We should be able to increase his salary without throwing ours out of wack. He may want to comeback to the west and recruit so cal. I hope we spend some money on at least one coach solely on his ability to recruit. Vic So’oto would be my pick for overspending on a potentially great recruiter.
