This is when the majority of the recruiting board gets set.

The first day (Saturday, April 15th) looks like a big unofficial visit day at CU for out-of-state recruits. We'll post more on those as they become known.

Basics of this recruiting period:
  • 168 evaluation days are allowed per D1 school
  • Evaluation days per recruit is capped at 2 -- 1 for an athletic evaluation & 1 day for an academic assessment
  • If both are conducted on the same day, a 2nd day for another athletic evaluation is allowed
  • So, in this period CU will see between 84 and 168 prospects on off-campus visits by assistants
  • Visits are not conducted to recruits on Sundays and Memorial Day
Last year, CU Football tweeted out maps showing where our coaches were. If they do that again, we'll post those tweets in this thread.

One week and then things get serious. Should be hearing very soon about some confirmations on visitor list for next Saturday.

Interested to see how the next six weeks go. Hoping we see some clarity on RB, DT, and pass rushers by the end of the SEP. Right now, the picture at those positions is pretty muddled.

Who might we be recruiting at Quartz Hill HS? Time to put on the Sherlock cap.

Something to keep an eye on over the next few weeks is the status of DeSoto HC Todd Peterman. Apparently his job is in jeopardy and no one can quite figure out why that is the case.

Apparently, it looks like he might get fired for being white and players (current & former) seem pissed.

WHAT!?!?

Just quit and go somewhere where you are wanted. Ridiculous.

Probably following up on Issaiah Johnson.

In our defense, I don't see him at OLB and he may not have the wheels for it. But he's an interesting guy for the Gamboa spot on the inside.
