I get that, it was just stupid that he ran.
He's called a dual threat QB for a reason
And it is Oklahoma, not exactly some bastion of political correctness. It isn't good but he wasn't driving and apparently he wasn't involved in the actual altercation that brought the police to the scene so he didn't engage in violence towards anyone.
I'd expect OU to suspend him for a half against UTEP (their first game) which won't change the outcome of the game any and have him issue an apology. And considering the circumstances I'd be perfectly fine with that outcome.
Beilma should check if the arresting officer has any eligibility left.
He should have just had Joe Mixon slug the cop....

I thought he'd go "no contest" with this. I'm not sure how he can claim he wasn't drunk and didn't run from the cops.
Wow, it's pretty evident that he resisted arrest and was drunk. I wonder when will a court date be set? Would be funny if the judge set the dates for late summer/early fall.
I wonder if the judge's first name is goober or gomer?
