It's all over the message boards right now that the university has made a 10-year commitment to increased funding of the CU athletic department.
Reports are:
- last year 4% of the AD budget came from the university
- this year it's going to be 23% and there is a 10-year commitment to keep it at that level
- in the old days under Gee, the university went as high as 43%
Rumor is:
- this was the deal Bohn secured in exchange for towing the company line on the decision to retain Hawkins
- the move to the Pac-12 also helped to make this happen
There are also reports that Bohn has recently been able to add like 300 boosters in California. Things are looking up for us with AD funding.
