I always normally praise Nik for doing a fantastic job with the recruiting threads, but It would be a mistake to overlook the tremendous job Boulder Buff has been doing on the board. We should all be very thankful for the awesome job he does here at AllBuffs. This place is really lucky to have someone like him. I know I've learned an awful lot from him. We appreciate all the hard work you put in.

    Thanks Boulder Buff! :drink2::perfect10:

    Rep coming!

I agree - my primary interest in the site is the recruiting info, and those two especially do a great job.

Not much. Apparently I'm still pissed off about something that happened years ago. Or at least that's what I've been told. :smile2:

I agree that the "Big 3" do a great job with the recruiting forums. Thanks to all who contribute.

Alferd was a major contributor for a while too.

Thanks guys for all of the hard work on the recruiting form. If I have a complaint it's that BB is far too grounded in reality.

Yep, it's really sad that he had life priorities that extended beyond Allbuffs. WTF, Alferd?

At least one of us escaped the slow, slow death (at age 35) that is Allbuffs.

Here's to you Alfered, wherever you are!!!!

Don't forget about the guy behind the curtain. Matt certainly built a great site, and Dio has taken AllBuffs to the next level.

    You da man Dio!

    :ban:

You can flame on Embree, his staff, recruits, or their offer lists, but by all that is holy, dissing Kevin Costner, Neil Diamond, and/or his trout, is fightin' words. FACT!!

Let's be honest here guys, it's not like any of these guys have offers from Rivals, Scout, or even 247Sports. That's depressing. Sure they work hard and have performed above what we might have expected out of guys with their levels of intelligence, but they can't even type 60 words per minute. If Allbuffs ever wants to compete with the big boys, we're going to have to stop this "home grown talent" bull**** and finally bring over some serious recruiting recruits. I don't want this thread to get sent to the Island for bashing on recruiting recruits, so I'll just say this: we can do better.

However, Buffnik has bought me beer, so he is pretty cool. I'm very glad for all the "services" these three have provided to us all over the years.

I think it's time we need to ask ourselves, if we really want to compete with the big time boards, are we ready to do what they do to attract the big time 5* mod talent? We've all heard about what goes on at the big time boards and the talent that's made available to the big time mod candidates, the cash handshakes those places can give their top candidates and all those things that go on. If we want to compete at that level, are we ready to do what it takes?

Have any of our mods even been offered to go somewhere else? (Internal offers to go elsewhere don't count.)

So if Boulder Buff moves to fullback on AllBuffs, don't count it. But if Huskerpedia wants BB to move to fullback over there, then it's legit.

I'm just gonna drop this here.

[h=4]*Neil Diamond, among other celebrities, has a home on the Frying Pan River. He does not have riverfrontage. The lot is very scenic with ponds and a backdrop of red rocks.[/h]
