BOULDER – The Colorado Buffaloes picked up commitment No. 18 on Friday night when Hasaan Hypolite III verbally committed to play for the Buffs.

The three-star recruit’s decision came down to Houston, Texas Tech, and Colorado. The Buffaloes won out after hosting Hypolite for the Washington game two weeks ago. That was Hypolite’s second visit to Colorado after coming for an unofficial visit over the summer.

The 5-foot-11, 190-pounder isn’t tall enough to play safety and isn’t big enough to play linebacker, making him a perfect candidate to play the Buff backer position when he gets to Boulder.

The young man out of Missouri City, Texas also held offers from Houston, Texas Tech, East Carolina, Southern Miss, Colorado State, UMASS, Houston Baptist, Incarnate Word, New Mexico, New Mexico State and Texas Southern.
