Fans- another opportunity to show support for very deserving Buffs- track and field Coaches Mark Wetmore and Heather Burroughs are nominated for Flotrack.com's National Distance Running Coach(es) of the Year award, and there is a popular vote component to the award. (As indicated below and based on other nominees, this award is more for their work with pro athletes, I believe all Buff alums, as opposed to their college work.)

Note- I believe I read at the time that the 2 medals won by the Buff Alums coached by Wetmore and Burroughs doubled the # of Olympic medals won by American women distance runners on the track in the HISTORY of the Olympics, and were the 1st ever earned by Americans in their race events (the women's 1500M and steeplechase).
