ALBUQUERQUE, N.M.—The University of Colorado women’s golf team showed signs of brilliance throughout the day and despite struggling slightly down the stretch sit in sixth place through two of three rounds at the 2013 Branch Law Firm/Dick McGuire Invitational here at the University of New Mexico Championship Course. The Buffs shot 295-304—599 (15-over par) on the day.

The Buffs sat in second place after shooting a 3-over par 295 in the first round on the strength of even par rounds from senior Jenny Coleman and sophomore Jamie Oleksiew, and a 1-over par round from senior Kristin Coleman. In fact, all five players scoring for the team had solid rounds with a 2-over par 75 from sophomore Allie Zech and a 3-over par 76 from sophomore Alexis Keating. After a fast start in the second round the Buffs were tied atop the leaderboard with Pepperdine.
