College Football News, Rumor & Humor

The ACC schedule was released last night and then Duke put this out. Fantastic!

Going to be interesting to watch the 4 newcomers to the Big 12. BYU has a pretty tough schedule, especially if KU continues on their upward trajectory under Leipold

Wonder if he got more $$

It will be interesting to see if the four fall off late in the season.

That's always been the theory about moving up to the P5, that performance in November is where they will fall off.

Hell... even as bad as CU was, we were able to knock off UU in November back then.

The hurricanes were after Reese as their OC. Their first choice last year and i believe again this year is Tulane HC. After him they went to Reese who almost left when Kelly did. Then they moved on to Gettis. Quite the consolation prize

I didn't realize or recall that Miami tried to get Reese

The biggest news that nobody is talking about here is that Brian Ferentz has been retained by his father as Iowa OC. The best part about it is Iowa amended his contract that basically fires him if Iowa doesn't score 25 ppg.

I saw a couple good points on this story yesterday:

1. It is unlikely the contract stipulates that the offense must average 25 PPG. Apparently the Iowa defense and special teams scored over 25% of the team's touchdowns this past season.

2. Failing to reach that PPG threshold merely terminates the existing contract. It does not mean Ferentz will actually be fired.

That language would have been a great addition to CD's contract.

I am going to be so gleeful going into the Iowa Black Friday game knowing that Brian Ferentz is aware that he needs to score like 50 points to keep his job.
