Here’s the second in my series looking ahead to Pac-12 football in the ’16 season. (Order-of-finish projections are here.)

Notes on the following:

** To be expected: Some selections were obvious (running back, defensive back) and some were difficult (defensive line, linebacker).

** I mulled the quarterback situation before settling on Washington State’s Luke Falk.

Falk might seem like an obvious choice after receiving co-first-team honors (with Cal’s departed Jared Goff) from the coaches last season.

But I gave strong consideration to UCLA’s Josh Rosen, arguably the most talented passer in the league, and Washington’s Jake Browning, who will lead the team best team in the toughest division (per my projections).

** Due to the prevalence of the spread passing game, the 3-4 defense and nickel coverage, I selected three receivers, four linebackers and five defensive backs.
