that, my friends, would be very cool.
One off at the Shoe, no return game in Boulder, but there´s $2m in it for CU if they play OSU at the Horseshoe.
2 million to get our butts handed to us and they don't even return to Boulder? Great job by Bohn here. This program needs wins not payouts.
Anyone know what OSU, UT, Bama etc. make per home game?
****loads. there's over 100,000 people in that stadium.
Good way for the new coach to get his teeth kicked in.
I'd much much rather travel to the Shoe than play N. Colorado or some other patch-a-hole in the schedule opponent.
as much as people kvetch around here about no good destination roadies.....lose Ames, lose Manhattan.....gain the Shoe. wins all around, seems to me.
it would be a great excuse to enter the state of ohio.
Except on the scoreboard.
Yes yes yes yes yes yes yes
We'd beat the crap out of that that crappy team. Ohio State sucks.
i was looking for a number. am i far off the mark with 10m in income only (not considering costs)?
yeah i have no idea numbers wise. you know those people like to eat too, a lot.
When did you become a *****?
We alway need 1 marquee non-conference game on the schedule.
Bohn is not out negotiating this anything other than fill in the gap a year in advance with the lingering contingency of when the move to the Pac will actually take place. I'm not the biggest fan of Mike Bohn on planet Earth but i will continue to think this is an excellent pull given the situation.
Some of ya, no more complaints about the basketball OOC schedules given what I'm seeing here. Maybe we can drop the Vegas tournament and host the Boulder County Classic with BHS, Fairview, Longmont, Erie, Niwot...
and no more fun making fun of Bill Snyder's scheduling.
Why?? Ohio State is no offensive powerhouse. This is the same team that almost lost at home to Navy. You ****ing guys need to grow a pair.
Bill Snyder is a scheduling genius. Which coach will still have a job come January 2011? Which team will be playing in a bowl game this winter?
When CU starts winning 9 or 10 games EVERY YEAR they can (and should) start scheduling the likes of Ohio State. Teams that are lucky to win 3 games have no business playing the likes of Ohio State, unless we are interested in becoming their Homecoming game.
Would that be the Navy team that went 10-4 last year? The same Navy that beat Notre Dame last year? The same Navy that beat Mizzou by 3 touchdowns last year?
Yeah, that Navy team sucked alright.
9 hours and 1 minute from my house to Woody Hayes Drive... I'm in:thumbsup:
This would be great, I'm all for scheduling big-name opponents whenever possible. Nobody cares about wins over directional schools.
Got to believe that this game would be on national t.v.
Roadies to Hawaii and Columbus in 2011. Hmmmmm.
I like it. Always a fan of playing good teams, regardless of our level at the time. Play the best when you're good to prove you're the best. Play the best when you're bad to prove you're better than people think.
Exactly how I feel about scheduling top teams.
i don't mind it but I wish it were a home and home or at least a 2-1. There are a lot of Buck-eye fans in Colorado so it would be a big draw if they came to folsom.
i think its great. with this short of time frame i am suprised we could get this game. beats the hell out of dick blow SE middle nun basket weaving school. hell, if CU is gonna get thier asses kicked, might as well be by someone good.
Only one day 15 hours from my apartment according to googlemaps.
