Congratulations to a guy who played and coached at CU

Someone I'd have my eye on for the 10th assistant spot. That is probably a Safety Coach. A Buff defensive guy who recruits locally and is a Pacific Islander would have a lot of value for this staff.

You could do a lot worse than taking a guy who has worked for John Wristen. He knows how to run a winning program. Good guy to have as a teacher.

Working at the D2 level with smaller staffs the coaches also get involved in a wider range of responsibilities. I wouldn't object to having Donnell on the staff in Boulder.

Donnell and his wife just spoke at our church last Sunday about his recent battle with cancer. He is definitely a fighter. And he definitely still loves the Buffs. Add in the Pacific Island ties mentioned above, and I think there is a good chance we see him on the staff in the next few years. In the meantime, consider keeping his family in your prayers. Sounds like he isn't completely out of the woods.
