Oh calm down. To my understanding, they probably made the informal agreement going into the weekend, being a state employee he’s gotta go through a standard background check which is outsourced and takes a couple business days. We don’t want a George O’Leary situation. They’ll announce tomorrow or the next day when he clears that.

I still think we didn’t gain much from firing MM a week early, but I’ll guess it was a week of going over candidates, most of a week to court Day, and then to Tucker. I have no inside knowledge, but that timeline makes sense to me.
