I'll be driving up saturday morning...wife, parents, brother, all FSU alums in tow...I need some scoreboard!!! I'll prolly cook...don't know what yet...if it's a night game maybe some serious bbq...
I will probably fly into Orlando and head up with my Dad.
I'll be in New Jersey.
The Alumni association should be putting together a package for the game.
yep - Omni Hotel pool party ala the ASU trip (for those who know what I'm talkin' 'bout...)
I'll be there with about five other alums. Should be a blast!
I'm still planning on going, although not for sure yet.
Are there plans to have an AB tailgater or get-together down there?
Plan on driving down from Richmond with the wife and a FSU fan. Should be a good trip!!!
Sounds like a third wheel. A spare, third wheel.
Flights are cheap. We need a good showing.
what are the odds of this NOT being a night game...
Yeah.... $220 from here, plus I'm going to the WVU game the week prior. I still am thinking about it. I dunno about it being in Jax, though. That kinda sucks.
$250 (including taxes) from DC. JAX may suck, but JAX with the Buffs ROCKS!!:slayer::gobuffs:
The first game at FSU was something like a noon EST start.
the FSU-Bama game in Jax last year was a 3:30 game. It is really dependent on our record as FSU will snack on a couple of 1aa cupcakes before our game...
The UF-UGA game "The world's Largest outdoor cocktail party" usually starts in the late afternoon/early evening in J-ville, so we will see what they do with it.
Regardless, I can't complain when the Buffs come to FL, I'd like to see them score a 2 for 1 with UCF. Texas came down to play in the knights' new stadium. Then I could realllllly roll out the FlaBuff party wagon...:smile2:
If your going to the WVU game, be careful. Their fans arn't exactly the friendliest :duel2:
Um. The WVU game is in Boulder. Plus I could kick those fat hicks' asses. I'm pretty sure of it.
Battle cry: "DAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH"
Yeah forgot it was in Boulder this year. But anyone planning to go to Morgantown, be warned!!! Bring some battle axes.
I plan on going in 2009. I'm currious to hear what I'm in for. Do I bring a rain coat for beer and piss bombs, or body armor?
Why the **** would I bring my sister in-law?:smile2:
I've also heard that the WV fans can be rude "unfriendly", but that may not apply to an out-of-conference opponent. Kind of like going down to play an SEC team.
A friend of mine went to Morgantown for a Virginia Tech/WVU game, so not a huge rivalry, but there is some bad blood. His wife, again WIFE, got punched in the face by some redneck drunk. Just be warned that WVU fans are classless.
K now we're starting to sound like GBR.
Personally, I don't buy it.
Going to try and make it. Probably going to Lawrence for the KU game as well.
Definetly going to the KU game. Friends with a rock chalk cheerleader. :smile2:
